“Realeza” by Jim Johnston is heard all over the arena. It’s promo time in SNME as we come back from a commercial break. We listen to a horn as a blue Enzo Ferrari appears on the staging area. The crowd knows this is Alberto Del Rio and start to boo him out of the building. Del Rio, as usual, comes out from the car holding a big grin on his face. He starts to taunt the crowd still on the staging area as he comes back to his car to grab his Intercontinental Championship. Del Rio then runs up to the ramp and poses as the fireworks go off.
Del Rio smiles and approaches a fan. He lifts the title while he whispers “Fue el destino”. He gives another smile and continues his path until the ring. He then shouts again “Fue el destino señores!”. Ricardo Rodriguez hands a microphone to Del Rio as he thanks him with a hand gesture. Del Rio then starts to talk.
Alberto Del Rio: My name… My name is INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION, ALBERTO DEL RRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOOO! But of course... Of course you already know that! You know, tonight I came here to address some situations, some speculations. I came out here to kill rumors among the fans of Saturday Night’s Main Event. First off, last week. Last week I faced Mason Moore. Let me tell you something about Mason Moore. That guy was a loser. Well, he is still a loser, but I am a good guy. I saw the roll up coming. I knew it would happen, but I am that generous that I allowed him to get a win. It didn’t affect me. It will never affect me because I was able to defeat the man he couldn’t beat… twice.
Del Rio smiles and taunts the crowd as they boo him.
Alberto Del Rio: It didn’t matter to me at all. It was all okay, until it he got a microphone in his hand. I gave Mason a win. I gave him confidence on himself, and what did I get back? He thinks he is better than me now. Mason, I am sorry, but you will never be as good as me. You want to know why? Because I am still holding this.
Del Rio lifts his Intercontinental Championship up as the crowd boos yet again. Del Rio smiles and starts to talk again.
Alberto Del Rio: There is something wrong here. You see, when I defeated Zack Ryder, I was never given an Intercontinental Championship shot. In fact, if it wasn’t for Shane McMahon, Shawn Michaels would probably do whatever he could to keep me out of the title picture. Unfortunately for him, you just can’t overcome destiny. Mason, I gave you the victory. If I wasn’t able to get a shot even after defeating one of the longest reigning Intercontinental Champions in the history of this business, what makes you think you deserve one? I don’t know if I should laugh or feel disrespected at the fact that you and Kammy are fighting over that shot. Kammy already lost her chance for a shot. To who did she lost again? YES! It was against Naples Knight, the same man I left a bloody mess to win this! And, I hate to be that guy Mason, but I feel the need to remind you yet again that you were not able to defeat him. How many people are able to say they did such a thing?
Rodriguez applauds to those words. He yells “¡Solo tú, jefe!” Del Rio thanks Rodriguez for his words and proceeds to talk.
Alberto Del Rio: Now, some of you may already know that Jacob Jones challenged me for an Intercontinental Championship match. He has made quite an impact in this business. He would surely be a runner-up for best debuting star, with my winning it of course. I know that, so I was going to get this week off to concentrate on that, but then, then I heard the plans of me facing Matt Sydal for a final time… A big smile was born on my face as I quickly accepted, because really, who would get tired of making fun of Matt Sydal? Who would get tired of playing with that little pea around the ring? I can assure you that Sydal will feel confident enough because he thinks he defeat me the last time we met inside the ring. He walked out as the “All-Star” Champion. When we first met, I took him out. That scar will never be forgotten. That is something that will follow him for the rest of his career. Matt, you left as champion, but that toy belt you are holding is something I’ve never cared of. In just two weeks later to that event, I gained this real belt. You may have smiled at the end of the cage match, but who smiled at last? I did. I hope you make it to Highway to Hell, Matt. You faced Alberto Del Rio, but now, you’ll face the King of Wrestling.
Del Rio drops the microphone as “Realeza” by Jim Johnston hits the PA System. Rodriguez gets inside the ring with a microphone in hand. He starts to talk was “Realeza” is still playing.
Ricardo Rodriguez: Deeeel Rrrrrrrrriiiooo! Díganlo, acepten a su nuevo rey de la lucha! Alberto Del Rio! Alberto Del Rio! Él es el campeón Intercontinental, Albertooooooo Deeeel Rrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiooooooo!
To the image of Ricardo talking and Del Rio holding his title high in the air, SNME goes to commercials.
