The commercial fades out as white words appear on the screen. A low, deep overlaying voice begins to read the words aloud.
"The Year of the Dragon
The Year of the Tiger
The Year of the Phoenix
Three creatures of honor,
Of pride
The Dragon rules the Heavens
The Tiger rules the Earth
The Phoenix rules the depths of Hell
When a Dragon falls from the sky,
A black cloud follows its trail
The Dragon falls to the Earth,
Engaging in mortal combat with Guardian Tiger
The Tiger wins as the Dragon falls to Hell,
Guardian Phoenix greets his new brother
This is the tale of the fallen Dragon... "

The words hang for a moment and fade out. The scene fades in to an overview shot of a busy Japanese district. Shop keepers on the left yelling at customers walking by as shop keepers on the right yell at the shops on the left for stealing their customers. In the middle of the hustle of all the different people walks a person, back towards us, in a long, grey hooded robe. The camera begins to zoom in slowly as this person is now the focal point of this scene. The camera fades into another shot that is directly behind the person, moving easily through the people. After a few moments, the flood of people seems to stop as the camera pans above the person head and looks directly in front of them. We are now in a clearing in an unknown part of the city. Directly in front of us is a large set of white stairs leading up to a 7 story pagoda. Right in the middle of the stairs is a large depiction of a Japanese dragon, stretching front the center of the stairs all the way to the top of the steps, finishing the tail.
The camera pans around the person until it stops directly in front of them. Their head hands as the hood hangs over it, hiding its face. It picks up its arms to reach the hood and peels it back. As it lifts of its head we see that it is Mason Moore. He looks at the steps that lay before him and gives them a smile.
Mason Moore:
What's to be said about a journey?
A journey starts with a single step...
Pun intended.
Mason smiles as he walks over to the journey of steps in front of him.
Mason Moore:
The path set in front of me has been set,
For in my eyes, I am the new number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship.
Why you ask?
Because I pinned the current champion, proving that I was put on this planet for greatness.
I proved that I could hang with the best, and win.
Mason begins to climb his first step, then second, walking towards the statue.
Mason Moore:
That first step I took was the hardest.
To start your journey you must take the first one, the rest come with time and dedication.
Condition yourself.
Enlighten yourself.
Free yourself.
Indulge yourself.
Go ahead, you earned it.
Mason continues walking about thirty or so steps without so much as appearing winded.
Mason Moore:
But with my victory comes a price.
I am now a target.
For me to gain a win over Alberto, for others to beat me means that I am nothing
It was just a fluke.
That one win carries now so much burden that even Del Rio himself has yet to say anything.
Ladies and gentlemen, a veil has been placed over my head.
I am now ready for the chopping block.
Bring it on.
Mason makes it up at least one hundred steps. Still un-phased, he reaches up and touches the stomach of the Dragon statue and pats it.
Mason Moore:
Good boy, I came to pay my respects.
For good health and vigor.
Accept my sacrifice of my personal life.
Accept my sacrifice of my every day struggles and pain.
Accept of my sacrifice of myself and dedication.
I give you my all...
Everyday.
Mason smiles and puts his hand down. He looks up to only see another set of stairs to the top.
Mason Moore:
This Saturday is my first challenge.
I take on another newcomer such as myself.
Bearded Dragon.
Fundamentally sound.
And, a bit... off.
Mason shakes his head and begins to pant a bit.
Mason Moore:
Although, he is a bit weird, I never judge a man by his mentality.
What I judge, is his in-ring skill.
His general abilities that drive him to what he is.
But, after this Saturday, that's all going to change.
Because he has to go through me.
Mason has walked about another one hundred stairs. He begins to pant a bit harder.
Mason Moore:
To slay a dragon one must first challenge himself.
Walking up these steps is a challenge, but to preserver through the pain and anguish is to be one with yourself.
One challenge defeated, added to your scorecard.
Something to tell your friends you have accomplished.
Much like if you beat me this Saturday, Dragon.
But I must apologize in advance.
Dragon, you're not going to beat me.
Simple as the morning sun.
Mason looks ahead, only a few hundred more steps until he reaches his victory.
Mason Moore:
But with your loss, Dragon, comes a great victory all in its own.
You will be able to look back on our match.
Feed off of it.
Learn from it.
Feel its power.
Mason puts his hands to his side, sweat pouring from his forehead. He peels off the robe and throws it to the ground. His grey undershirt is drenched with perspiration.
Mason Moore:
It is true, we both have one common goal.
To attain gold.
Difference is, I have the will to go further than you.
I'm not saying that you will never get there.
You're still discovering yourself, Dragon.
That's your weakness.
You don't even know who Dragon is.
That's not stable enough for the company's role.
Mason looks in front of him, no more than twenty steps remain.
Mason Moore:
Let me end this by saying one simple thing.
I will win, but you are a force.
Watching your matches and promos, I see the passion.
Although, it's not burning yet.
When we meet again after this Saturday, Dragon, Let's hope that your past won't repeat itself.
But until our next meeting, let's finish this one.
Let's burn it down, brother.
Learn from me and you will never stray.
Mason turns away from the camera and reaches the top of the steps. The Pagoda wasn't as close as we initially thought. About 200 feet in front of us stands another thousand or so steps.
Mason Moore:
When one adventure ends...
Another begins.
Mason smiles and begins to walk towards the new set of steps. The scene fades out into black as the SNME logo washes across the screen.
