Saturday Night's Main Event: The Return!
Live! From Madison Square Garden in New York, New York!
7/11/09
The Saturday Night's Main Event logo slowly wipes across the screen. An upbeat guitar suddenly perks up our ears, grasping the attention of millions around the world. The song suddenly picks up, as the rest of the band joins in. With the sound of "Saturday Night" by Nickelback and Kid Rock blaring through our ears, a montage of the greatest moments in Saturday Night's Main Event history begins to play. As the chorus kicks in, the screen shatters into millions of tiny pieces. We are suddenly sent into the EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah! The thousands of fans in attendance begin to go wild, as lights begin to flash upon the stage. The camera pans throughout the crowd catching them in their moment of excitement and pure adrenaline. We switch cameras, looking on at the stage. the guitar comes in with a solo, as the lights slightly dim. The song slowly rises in volume, as a massive explosion of pyrotechnics shoots off. The stage is completely lit up and the energy in the building is absolutely amazing. We quickly cut over to Joey Styles and Austin Owens, who bring us the introduction...
Styles: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Saturday Night's Main Event! As always... I'm Joey Styles!
Owens: And I'm Austin Owens!
Styles: Folks, this isn't a dream... This isn't a fantasy... This is reality! Saturday Night's Main Event is back, and we're just as excited as you are to see just what this place has got in store for us this time around!
Owens: There's no tellin' what we're gonna see! You and I along with all of these people have been a part of some of the biggest moments in wrestling history here in SNME, and there is no tellin' what kind of history we'll be a part of this time!
Styles: That's right! Well folks... You wanted it... So you're gettin' it!
Owens: Let's get this show kicked off!
As drums begin to pound through Madison Square Garden, the fans begin to roar with excitement! "Sexy Boy" blazes throughout the arena, as the lights dim. With red and white lights flashing across the stage, the curtain is slung wide open.
Styles: There he is! It's him!
Owens: The Heart Break Kid!
Standing before the thousands of people gathered in the arena, Shawn Michaels grins as wide as ever. With a tip of his cowboy hat to the crowd, Shawn prances his way out onto the stage. He goes from one side to the other, motioning for more noise. As the roar of the crowd grows even louder than before, Shawn dances his way down the ramp, excited as ever. As he reaches the end of the ramp he pauses. As he looks around with a smile on his face, he drops to his knees. He brings his hands together, saying a quick prayer. He quickly jolts his face to the sky and raises his hands into the heavens. A wall of sparkling, red fireworks explodes behind him, rumbling the very foundation of the Garden. As the smoke lingers behind him, Shawn rises to his feet. He quickly makes his way around the ring, reaching out the many fans that extend their hands. He quickly leaps up onto the apron and ducks under the top rope. As he enters the ring, he spins around quickly, taking in his environment... His home. Shawn motions for a microphone, and one is handed to him from a member of the ring crew. As his music begins to fade out, he stands center ring, the microphone to his mouth.
Shawn: Feels kinda' good, huh? Nah... Feels a little too good!
The crowd roars with cheers, drowning out any hopes of Shawn to continue speaking. He lets it go on for a moment until finally motioning for some quiet.
Shawn: Ya' know, it never crossed my mind that I'd be standing in another Saturday Night's Main Event ring... Until recently. I thought Saturday Night's Main Event was dead and gone... But ya' know... Something gave me an itch. It gave me an urge... To dig this place up from the grave... And resurrect her! For those of you that know... And for those of you that don't. Stephanie McMahon was in charge of the WWE. Her good 'ol dad and my dear friend, Vince McMahon, put her in charge of the family business. And what happens? She gets a little hormonal and decides to shut the place down. Now, I had been watching WWE closely. I even competed for them at the Bash. WWE gave me a new hope... They gave me a new stage to perform on. They gave me a new life. And as I stood backstage after my match, excited as ever, I got news... Stephanie just didn't want the place anymore. She didn't want the baggage that went along with running a company. So as I stood backstage with the news running through my mind, I began to look around. I looked around and saw talent. But they were no longer going to have a place to display that talent. Hence... The return. The rebirth. The resurrection. So if you guys want to thank someone... Thank Stephanie McMahon.
The crowd begins to clap and cheer, along with chanting.
"Thank you Stephanie! Thank you Shawn! Thank you Stephanie! Thank you Shawn!"
Styles: Do you hear this crowd? They're going absolutely wild!
Owens: I love it, Joey. I freakin' love it!
As Shawn takes a moment to tip his cowboy hat to the crowd once more, he raises the microphone back to his mouth.
Shawn: So now that you know just why Saturday Night's Main Event is back... It's time to get to business! First thing first... Championships. Before I address the World Heavyweight Championship situation, I would like to talk about the Intercontinental Championship, the Custom Championship, and the world Tag Team Championships. They're all mine... Nah, I'm just jokin'. I wish. But no... In WWE a particular superstar proved himself to the world. He climbed the ranks and struck gold. That man is Donal McQuillan. And Donal, here in SNME, we're going to honor your championship win by letting you be SNME Intercontinental Champion. You're welcome. The last Custom Champion we had... Justin Tyger. Hey, I didn't know he was competing with those guys... Well, anyways... I'm gonna let you keep that belt too. And as for the World Tag Team Championships... Sydal, find yourself a partner. And that brings us to the big daddy. The grandest prize of them all. The most coveted championship in wrestling today. The World Heavyweight Championship. If I remember correctly there were all sorts of controversial things said about the last World Champion here... So with that being said... It's vacant!
The curtain splits wide open, as a black cowboy hat is poked out, followed by The Roy. Roy makes his way out onto the stage, rather confused as to what Michaels has just said. Roy wastes no time and makes his way down the ramp. He quickly jogs up the steel steps and pulls a microphone from his back pocket.
Roy: Whoa, Whoa........whoa. Va...Vacant? The World title... It's vacant? You have got to be kidding me, Shawn. This is seriously the biggest no brainer any owner of any corporation has had to make. I should be out here tonight getting a red fricken' robe and the World Title served to me on a golden platter by scandalously and loosely dressed divas in an awe-inspiring celebration to the fabulousness that is myself. I mean, not to sound concieted by any means, but come on?? Vacant? Do you seriously need me to come out here and waste both of our time by listing the reasons that the World Title should be mine? It's only a two hour show, Shawn... Just give me..my title...and we can forget this whole ridiculous vacant ordeal.
Shawn: Just hand you the title? Just bring it on out here, fasten it around your waist and call it a deal? I don't think so, Roy. If you want this belt... You're gonna have to man up and win it! No Saturday Night's Main Event World Heavyweight Champion is just gonna' be handed the belt on a silver platter. So, Roy... I suggest you get to work. And you can start tonight by winning your match.
Roy: Shawn, I'm not asking you to just hand it over. I've earned that belt. Go back and look in the WWE three month record book. You can see that since the first week it started, whenever I decided I wanted to be there, I main evented. I was the headline in WWE since day damn one. Not to mention that at its last pay-per-per view event, I earned the number one contendors shot. So as number one contendor the title is rightfully mine. But you know what gets to me the most? Who was the last SNME World Champion, Shawn? It was me. I won that title and you know what else, I NEVER LOST IT. WHY SHOULD I BE COMPETING FOR A TITLE I NEVER LOST?
Shawn: WWE, huh? News flash for ya', Roy. Read the logo on the stage. Read the logo on the ring aprons. Read the company name on your paycheck. This isn't WWE. This is the real deal. This is where the world's finest talent have held gold. Yeah, you did win the number one contenders spot in WWE, and I'll honor that here. But as for you winning the belt... Don't even get me started. You don't want me to go there. So like I told you... You can start tonight by impressing me and these people. I suggest you get to lookin' for a tag team partner because you've got yourself a tag team match in the main event against newly found buddies, Justin Tyger and Randy Orton. Good luck.
With a tip of his hat, "Sexy Boy" blares through the arena once more. Shawn drops his microphone walks past Roy, patting him on the shoulder. As Shawn leaves the ring, Roy stares him down, not liking the idea that he only has until the end of the night to find a partner.

Saturday Night's Main Event: Summer Meltdown!
Live! From The Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida!
8/2/09
Naples Knight vs. MVP
As red, green, and white lights flash to the riff of a guitar, "Seek and Destroy" blares through the arena. The curtain is pulled open, as the Italian warrior, Naples Knight, makes his way out onto the stage. With his fans cheering him, Naples looks to be pumped about his return to the ring.
Finkel: First, making his way to the ring... Weighing in at two-hundred and thiry pounds... He hails from Naples Italy... Naples Knight!
Naples quickly makes his way down the ramp, and rolls into the ring. He quickly gets to his feet and charges into the corner. He looks out over the crowd of people looking on and signals that he will be victorious on his return. As he hops down, his music is suddenly interrupted...
A clock ticks away, as "I'm Comin'" blares through the P.A. System. With the crowd booing their heads off, the curtain is slung wide open. MVP jogs out onto the stage, with a cocky grin upon his face. Wearing his usual jumpsuit and bling around his neck, MVP mouths off to the booing crowd.
Finkel: And the opponent... Weighing in at two-hundred and forty nine pounds... He hails from Miami, Florida... Montel Vontavious Porter... MVP!
With a cocky swagger in his step, MVP makes his way down the ramp. As he reaches the bottom, he stops for a moment. He looks around and couches down. He quickly slaps the floor and rises up, leaning back with his arms spread out. Flames explode from the stage, burning bright throughout the arena. As the flames burn out, MVP quickly jogs up the ring steps. He ducks under the top rope and enters the ring. Naples looks MVP right in the eyes, but MVP simply brushes him off. MVP quickly hits the ropes. He acts like he's dribbling a basketball and quickly takes a shot while screaming out, "Ballin'!" MVP finally takes it to his corner and removes his chains. The referee then calls for the bell...
"Ding, ding, ding!"
Both men step forward, contemplating how to start things off. With no more hesitation, they lock up. MVP and Naples push and shove with all their strength, but neither man will budge for the other. They quickly break the lock up and back away to their respective corners. Fans in the front row mock MVP, calling him weak. He doesn't take too lightly to this and begins to mouth off back to them. To MVP's dismay, Naples charges across the ring, hammering him right across the back with a double forearm! As MVP is caught off guard, Naples lashes into him, hammering away with elbows to the back of the head. Naples quickly turns MVP around to face him and whips him across the ring. MVP hits the corner, and Naples charges in... MVP gets the boot up, nailing Naples right in the mouth! Spit flies across the ring, as Naples is rocked back. MVP charges out, hitting a running STO out of nowhere! He goes for a quick cover...
"One! Two! Naples Kicks out!"
Naples kicks out, and MVP is furious. He quicklt pulls Naples up and whips him into the ropes. Naples comes back and ducks underneath a clothesline. He hits the opposite set of ropes and leaps into the air... Flying shoulder block! MVP goes down hard, and Naples is quickly back on his feet. He begins to put the boots to MVP, stomping away at him. As MVP grabs the ropes, the referee shoves Naples back. Naples argues with the referee and charges after MVP, only for MVP to roll out of the ring.
As MVP catches his breath, Naples paces around the ring, frustrated. He doesn't want to take anymore of MVP's cowardly tactics, so he hits the ropes. As MVP turns around to face the ring, Naples comes diving through the ropes! Both men crash to the floor, and they seem to be loving this new Naples Knight. The referee begins to count both men out, but Naples is quickly to his feet. He pulls MVP up and rolls him into the ring. As Naples slides in, MVP scurries to the corner, pulling himself up. Naples is on his feet and charges at MVP... Belly to belly suplex! MVP catches Naples out of nowhere with that suplex and Naples is in pain. MVP gets to his feet and motions Naples to get up. Naples uses the ropes, and is on his hands and knees. As he lifts up from his hands, MVP charges in... Shining Player's Boo-NO! Naples rolls out of the way, tossing MVP through the ropes and to the outside! As MVP crashes to the floor, Naples is back to his feet. He charges into the corner and climbs to the top rope. MVP slowly pulls himself up with the apron, no clue where Naples is. Naples leaps off! He crashes down on top of MVP!
Both men are down, and the referee begins his count. Naples begins to stir first, slowly followed by MVP. As Naples uses the security wall to pull himself up, MVP uses the steps. Naples charges at MVP, rolling him into the ring. He then pulls himself up onto the apron, using the ropes. As Naples climbs to the top once more, MVP gets to his feet. Naples leaps off... MVP leaps up... Drokick in mid-air! Naples flies back into the corner, hammering into the turnbuckles, as MVP slowly beginds to regain himself. Naples sits in the corner, holding his possibly shattered ribs after that brutal dropkick from MVP. MVP is to his feet. He has Naples in his sights. He charges in... Shining Player's Boot! Naples seems to be out of it, and MVP drags him to the center of the ring. He covers him...
"One... Two... Thre-Naples Kicks Out!"
The crowd begins to roar, and MVP cannot believe it. He quickly gets up, pulling Naples up with him. He boots him in the gut. He sets him up for the finish... Playmake-Naples counters! Naples counters! DDT! MVP's head is spiked into the mat, and the crowd is once again roaring for Naples. He slowly goes to the corner, where he crouches down. MVP slowly makes it to his feet, holding his aching head. He turns around... Italian Stallio-NO! MVP side steps! Naples rams right into the steel ring post, smashing his shoulder. MVP boots him in the gut. He places his leg over the back of Naples neck, setting him up once again for the finish. As MVP taunts to the crowd, letting them know that their Naples Knight is finished, he is countered once more. Naples spins out, rolling MVP up into a small package!
"One! Two! Three!"
Naples leaps up, going crazy. With the crowd behind him, he dashes around the ring, slapping hands with those cheering him on. MVP sits in the middle of the ring in complete shock. He slaps the mat in anger, yelling at the referee and claiming that it was a fast count. The referee argues back with MVP and refuses to change the decision. MVP storms around the ring, kicking the ropes and yelling at Naples. Smiling wide as ever, Naples backs his way up the ramp, laughing at a bitter MVP.

Backstage we see Justin Tyger sitting in his locker room, polishing his Custom Championship. Mercenarrio slowly walks in, his eyes glimmering at the site of gold.
Mercenarrio: So it's true... Ya' know, I heard you had the strap still, but I didn't believe it.
Tyger: Is there some kind of problem with that, kid?
Mercenarrio: Well, don't get me wrong. I have respect for you, but you're a former World Heavyweight Champion. You shouldn't qualify for that title. It should be for the younger, newer guys, like me...
Tyger: Oh yeah? Well beat me... And it's yours.
Mercenarrio: There has to be rules against this kind of thing. I'm gonna see that something is done about it...
Mercenarrio leaves the locker room, as Tyger just shrugs and shakes off the whole meet and greet.
"Numb/Encore" hits the PA system. Fans look to see if Donal is really here in SNME. He walks out from behind the curtain, grasping his Intercontinental Championship in his hand. The fans cheer, remembering Donal for what he once was in SNME. But those who follow WWE raise an eyebrow at him, wondering if he'll still have his arrogant attitude. He rolls into the ring and grabs a microphone from Howard Finkel, who looks concerned for the kid. He raises the microphone to his mouth as his music dies down.
Donal: At WWE's PPV, the Bash SOMEBODY thought it'd be cute to lay me out in this ring. To blind side me. For those of you who don't know what happened... After I won this beauty of a belt, the lights in the arena shut off, and a loud ringing gunshot nearly took my hearing away. Then, what you didn't see was a blast that came at me faster than I could think, knocking me unconscious. It was supposed to me my night... My night of glory. But some selfish, self-centered son of a bitch thought that they could take that away from me... All that I worked for to get here... And the night I've been waiting for is robbed by a man whom I've been on the hunt for for the past week and a half! So I'm not asking, I'M DEMANDING that the culprit walks out to this ring and faces me LIKE A MAN!
Like the PPV, the lights in the arena go out. When they come back on, Donal is standing in the ring. His fists up ready for a fight. The fans cheer, some boo, as they realize the man who stands behind Donal. Donal slowly turns around into a Gunshot! Johnny gets up and looks down at Donal, who lays flat on his back. He bends down and picks up Donal's IC title and stares at it. He looks down at Donal and bends down next to him...
Johnny: You don't deserve this... YOU DON'T DESERVE TO WEAR THIS!"
Johnny throws the title across the ring and picks Donal up, but right away throws him over the top rope. "Becoming the Bull" plays over the PA system. Johnny gets on the top rope and throws his arms up in the air as a chorus of boos echoes through out the arena.
John Morrison vs. Tyler Black
“Matter of Time” plays, the fans boo, and Tyler Black pops out of the curtain all at the same time. Tyler throws his head back, his long wet hair flips back out of his face and he begins walking down the ramp as fans reach out to touch him, but he simply turns his shoulder to them. Tyler hops in the ring and awaits his opponent.
“Aint No Make Believe” plays, and the fans are confused on who to cheer or boo for in this heel vs. heel match up. John Morrison walks out on the curtain and does his signature “slow motion” pose for the camera and fans, before making his way down the ramp and into the ring. He stares across the ring at his opponent for this singles match up, Tyler Black.
"Ding, ding, ding!"
John and Tyler circle each other, both watching one another closely. Tyler throws his hand in the air, offering for the two to lock up. Morrison clashes his hands with Tyler’s. Neither one of them can get an advantage, until Morrison kicks Tyler hard in the gut, causing him to release his hand and hold his stomach. Morrison grabs Tyler by the air and throws him into the corner and lets him fall onto his knees, before jumping up and hitting a shinning wizard! Morrison goes for the cover.
"1…2… No!"
Tyler kicks out. John drags Tyler to the center of the ring and drops a leg across his chest, and tries to pin Black once more.
"1…2… Again, Tyler kicks out!"
Morrison pushes his hair out of his face and climbs to the turnbuckle and waits for Tyler go get up and turn around. John leaps off the rope for a cross body, but Tyler reverses it by jumping up in the air and hitting a outstanding drop kick! Tyler covers.
"1…2… Morrison pops the shoulder up!"
Tyler takes deep breaths, and goes to the top himself and waits for Morrison to get up. Morrison gets up, and Tyler leaps off and extends his arm, trying to hit a flying clothesline. Morrison rolls under his arm, and Tyler rolls on his back to protect the fall. They both charge each other and both hit each other with a clothesline. Both of them are laid out on the ground. The ref begins to count.
1…2..3….
No response from either man is detected.
…4…5…6…
Morrison gets up to his knees as Tyler pulls himself up on the ropes. Morrison charges Tyler, who pulls down the ropes trying to throw Morrison out of the ring, but John holds on with his hands. Tyler turns around as Morrison throws his legs up and grabs Tyler’s neck and launches him and Tyler out of the ring. Morrison falls out too. The two get up and start brawling. John kicks him hard in the gut and tries to smash his head into the pole, but Tyler puts his foot up to stop it. Tyler throws his elbows back into John’s stomach, and he bends down to grab them allowing Tyler to try to hit a suplex, but Morrison stops it. Tyler tries again, lifting John’s feet in the air, but Morrison stops it. This time, Morrison tries to suplex, but Tyler flips onto his feet. Morrison quickly turns around and ducks out of Tyler’s clothesline and kicks him in the gut and punches him in the face. Morrison mounts Tyler and begins punching him repeatedly.
"Ding, ding, ding!"
Morrison stops what he is doing and looks up at the ref and scolds him. He rolls in the ring and gets up in the refs face yelling “WHATS GOING ON?!” The ref pushes Morrison out of the way and walks over to Finkel who announces the decision.
Finkel: Ladies and gentlemen, due to a double count out, this match has gone to a No Contest, therefore there is no winner!
Morrison gets furious, as Tyler holds the back of his head outside the ring. Morrison gets up of the ring and walks over to Tyler and kicks him in the head and continues to beat him down with his hands. He picks Tyler up and hits the Moonlight Drive, before smirking and walking to the back.

The Roy is seen walking backstage with an angry face. He runs into Justin Tyger who has a smug smile as he adjusts the Custom Title on his shoulder, making sure The Roy can see it.
Tyger: Ha, you beat me in a number one contendors match a few weeks back, and yet I'm the one standing here with gold. Funny how things work, isn't it?
The Roy: Tyger, don't start with me...
Tyger: I'm just sayin, man, feels good to be champ.
Johnny Magnum comes jogging into the scene, catching up with The Roy.
Johnny: Hey man I been lookin all over for you. I saw the crap that went down earlier tonight. I agree with you completely man, you never lost that title.
Tyger: Uhh actually he did. Like, at the beginning of the show. Remember?
Johnny: What is your problem?
Tyger: Hey, I'm just sayin', last week Roy was all in my face about how he was gonna beat my ass and win the title. I just wanna make sure he feels as stupid as he looks now.
The Roy: You know what, Tyger? You need to shut your mouth before I take that damn title from you, breaking my own record. If you wanna make it to the tag match later without a limp, you better shut your face, back the hell up, and don't look back. Which reminds me, I still need a partner...
The Roy looks over at Magnum.
Johnny: Ha ha, don't worry bro, you know I got your back.
Tyger: Whoa, back up there for just a second. You can talk to all these little kids around here like that, but you will NOT speak to me like that. I've wrestled for more years than you've been able to drink through a big boy cup. I see you walking around these halls all day with a bunch of new kids following you around like a fricken gaggle of geese and why is beyond me but if you wanna settle our issues now I got no problem with it. You think because you won a triple threat match, you can take me one on one? You weren't even in the ring half that match, so don't come walking up to me like your fit to lace my boots because guess what cowboy, you're not. And as for you Magnum, grow a set of your own and quit hangin on every word this quack says. If need be, I'm sure I could kick both your asses, with or without Orton.
The Roy: ...
Roy walks off without saying a word.
Johnny: Why the hell do you have to push him like that? He's already phyco enough with out you adding fuel to the fire.
Tyger: You heard the crap he was out there saying earlier. He acts like nobody else on the SNME roster deserves to be a championship contender. I'm just as good as him and you don't see me moping around.
Magnum: Still, it's not like the stuff he was saying wasn't true...
Loud booms are heard in the background. Tyger and Magnums attention is caught as they run around the corner. The cameras switch to the parking lot. We see The Roy holding a long medal pipe in one hand and the back of Orton's head in another. The Roy opens the trunk to an all black corvette and shoves Orton in it. He then gets in the car and starts the ignition. Magnum arrives running through the parking lot and gets to The Roy's car door.
Magnum: What the hell are you doing??
The Roy hits the gas and takes off. Tyger runs into the scene and instantly gets into a black truck. He speeds off after The Roy leaving Magnum in the lot. Magnum runs left to his own Ford Mustang, and speeds off after Tyger and The Roy.
Mercennario vs. Donal McQuillan vs. Alex Shelley vs. Mark Kendall
SNME comes back from a commercial break to find the three of the four competitors in the ring. Alex Shelley was nowhere to be found to compete, so this is now a Triple Threat match. Donal, Mercennario, and Mark Kendall stand in the ring, all at their own corner. The bell rings and Donal, Mark, and Mercennario walk to the middle of the ring. Mark punches Donal in the face, and then punches Mercennario. He turns around and kicks Donal in the gut, and spin kicks Mercennario in the gut. He leaps up and spreads his legs out, knocking both Donal and Mercennario back, showing off his martial arts skills. Kendall turns his back on Donal and pounds on Mercennario’s face, who is sitting in the corner. Donal grabs Kendall’s shoulder and turns him around and punches him hard in the face. He Irish Whips Kendall against the ropes, Kendall bounces back and runs into a drop kick. Donal gets on one knee and raises his hand and yells, the fans give him a small pop. Mercennario is just standing up in the corner when Donal runs at him and leaps up, delivering an elbow to the face. Donal spins and locks in a side headlock on Merc. He runs out of the corner and jumps in the air, taking out Kendall with a clothesline while drilling Mercennario’s face into the canvas! Donal pins Mercennario!
"1…2… Mercennario kicks out!"
Donal pins Kendall!
"1…2… No!!"
Donal gets on his knees and wipes the sweat off his face. He steps back and waits for the first person to get up, who is Kendall. Kendall slowly turns around and runs into a running clothesline, delivered by The Irish Brawler. Mark quickly scatters to his feet. Donal grabs the back of his head and delivers repeating forearms, backing Mark into the ropes. He jumps in the air and delivers a drop kick across Mark’s chest, sending him flying out the ring. Donal points at him outside and yells at him, but for too long as Donal is rolled up by Mercennario!
"1…2… No!"
Donal gets up. Both men are quick to get to their feet and put their hands up. Donal swings only to miss, Mercennario swings, but Donal ducks. The two circle each other some more and lock up. Donal over powers Mercennario to the corner, but before he can get him into it, Mercennario flips Donal around and slams his spine into the padding, but Donal then spins again and slams Mercennario’s spine into it. To break the lock, Donal slaps Mercennario across the face and the fans boo. Donal lifts Mercennario up onto the top rope, and then gets on the second rope and places Mercennario’s arm over his neck and grabs his trunks, but before they can lift off, Mark Kendall runs into the ring and grabs Donal, lifting him up, and slamming him down for a powerbomb, Donal taking Mercennario with him! Kendall quickly covers Donal.
"1…2… Kick Out!!"
Kendall pushes him out of the way and jumps on Mercennario.
"1…2… SO CLOSE!"
Kendall yells in anger and picks Mercennario up. He kicks him in the head, in MMA fashion and then leaps in the air, grabbing Mercannario’s neck and falls back, wrapping his legs around Mercennario’s body for a guillotine!! Mercennario struggles to escape, but can’t. Just as he is about to tap out, Donal flies in and drops his leg across Mark’s chest. Mark releases the hold and rolls onto his stomach and out of the ring. Donal picks up Mercennario and throws him against the ropes and bends down getting ready to back drop him, but Mercennario flips over Donal’s back for a Sunset Flip pin!!
"1…2… NO!!!"
Mercennario looks on in agony. He gets up and lifts Donal’s legs in the air, before altering their legs and locking in a Sharpshooter! Donal screams in pain and inches towards the ropes, but to no avail. Donal reaches one final time, before nearly dropping his hand and submitting, but out of nowhere, Mark Kendall connects with the Duel Wielding! Mercennario falls off of Donal and lays nearly unconscious on the mat. Kendall lays on him and hooks both legs for the cover!
"1…2…3!"
NO!! Mercennario kicks out! Kendall looks pissed as he gets back up and sees the struggling Donal McQuillan trying to get up. Donal slowly turns around and Kendall charges, hitting the Duel Wielding on him as well! He covers Donal, hooking both legs!
"1…2… DONAL KICKS OUT!"
Kendall can’t believe it! The heart of these three men is unreal! Kendall pushes himself up to his feet, not turning around to check on Mercennario he bends over to pick up Donal, but Mercennario runs behind him and lifts him up and hits a thunderous Olympic Slam! Mercennario throws his arm over Kendall’s chest.
"1…2…3!!"
MARK KENDALL KICKED OUT AT THE LAST SECOND!!! Mercennario’s eyes widen. Kendall looks unconscious; Donal pulls himself up, but falls back down. EVERYONE’S DOWN!! The ref checks on all three men. Mercennario pulls himself towards the ropes, as does Donal and Kendall. Donal is up first, but is struggling with staying on his feet. Mercennario pulls himself up by the ropes, but once he is up Donal charges him and clotheslines him out of the ring. Donal turns around and Kendall leaps in the air, attempting to hit the Duel Wielding again, but Donal grabs his legs and slams him down to the mat. He picks Kendall up, like a Powerbomb, and slams him back down, hitting his vicious finisher The Career Ender! Donal hooks the leg!
"1…2…3!!"
AND IT IS OVER! Donal sits up and holds his back in pain. He slowly gets to his feet as he is handed hi Intercontinental Championship. Donal looks around cautiously for Johnny, but sees no sign of him. He raises the belt in victory as “Numb/Encore” blares over the PA system. Donal slowly walks to the back as Mercennario is helped up by officials and limps to the back and Kendall looks at Donal with a pissed off look in his eye, SNME cuts to commercial now.
"American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. Jack Evans
The arena is settling in after watching the last match, and just as the buzz of the crowd begins to fall, "The Final Countdown" blares all around the arena. Bryan Danielson marches down from backstage to mostly boos but an overall mixed reaction from the SNME crowd. He doesn't seem fazed by the crowd as he slides into the ring and walks right on over to his corner to wait for his opponent to enter the ring.
