We open to a quiet living room, lit up only by the setting sun outside. A man lays asleep on the couch. He is a former SNME Heavyweight Champion, “Soulfire” Justin Tyger. He begins to stir, as he starts to wake up. He opens his eyes, stretching out. He grabs his phone laying on the coffee table, checking the time. He slides up, putting his feet on the ground. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he lets out a yawn, as he looks around his living room. He stands up, grunting and wincing in pain, making his way to the kitchen. As he is almost there, his phone goes off, sending him back to it. He looks at the screen, before answering it.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Hi-dee, Amy.
Amy Pirtle
Hey! What are you doing?
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Just hanging out, how ‘bout you?
Amy Pirtle
Come to the Wildhorse as soon as you can.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
…Why?
Amy Pirtle
Oh, just do it, ok? See you later
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Alrighty…
Tyger ends the call with a look of confusion on his face. He walks into his kitchen, grabbing an empty glass, filling it up with water from the sink’s tap. He takes a long drink, before setting the glass down, walking over to the supper table, picking up a hat with a purple seventeen on it, putting it firmly on his head. He walks back through the living room, picking up his phone and keys, before walking out the door.

We open back up to a nosey, busy Wildhorse Saloon, where we soon find four familiar faces sitting around a table. Former SNME Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, former SNME Custom Champion Mercennario, Matt Riley, and Amy Pirtle all sit, conversating with each other. The talking stops when Orton points to the entrance, as Tyger walks in, wandering around aimlessly until Amy walks up to him.
Amy Pirtle
Hey! Michael!
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Howdy… What’s this all abo-…
Amy Pirtle
Come on…
Amy grabs his arm, leading him to the table full of his Evolution stablemates. Amy swings around, as the three men stand up.
Amy, Randy, Merc, Matt
Happy birthday!
Tyger cracks a grin, as he shakes the three men’s hands, before sitting down.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Well… Ya’ll didn’t have to go and do all this.
Chris "mercennario" Danielson
Yeah we did. You’re getting old man, we need to celebrate as many of these birthdays was we can.
Amy Pirtle
Plus it’s my first one with you, we had to do something.
Randy "the viper" Orton
In all of the years I’ve known you, I don’t think you’ve ever even mentioned your birthday.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
It ain’t that big of a deal, it’s just any other day.
Matt Riley
You might not remember, because, you know… You were unconscious, but back in ‘91 I totally threw you a huge birthday bash in that hospital. It was a lot of fun, I wish you could have been awake for it.
The two laugh, as a waitress walks up, taking their drink orders. The five chat for a few minutes, before the waitress walks back up, handing them all beer bottles, expect for Mercennario, who accepted his root beer bottle, before raising it in the air.
Chris "mercennario" Danielson
Here’s to thirty seven more years for Tyger!
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Well, I personally hope I get more than thirty seven more years….
Amy Pirtle
I couldn’t imagine you being seventy four.
Randy "the viper" Orton
Yeah, seventy four and still trying to wrestle.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Ha-ha, damn straight.
Matt Riley
I can see it now, main event in a run down armory in 2048: Justin Tyger vs. Gypsy Joe, because you know that old bastard will still be wrestling.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
With Mae Young at ringside.
Randy "the viper" Orton
And knowing her, she’ll beat your ass then too.
The four wrestlers laugh, as Amy awkwardly smiles, not understanding the wrestling jokes. The night goes on, as Tyger, Orton, and Riley grow progressively drunk. After a countless number of beers, Riley grabs Tyger‘s arm, standing up.
Matt Riley
Come here, dude.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Where we goin’?
Matt Riley
You’re gonna dance with me.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Like hell I am!
Matt Riley
Come on! I love this song and I don’t have anyone to dance with, so you’re gonna dance with me. Get your old ass over here.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
……Ok, but you’re just as old as me.
The two stumble to the open dance floor, tripping and stuttering their way through a horrible dance number, as the three at the table laugh at them.
Randy "the viper" Orton
Now look at that, I never got Tyger to dance with me. What’s that about?
Chris "mercennario" Danielson
Ha-ha, you got the moves like Jagger, Tyger!
Amy Pirtle
You know Michael has to be beyond hammered to dance with another guy.
Randy "the viper" Orton
Well, you’d be surprised…I wouldn’t be surprised if him and my Dad danced at a few bars n their time, ha-ha.
Amy Pirtle
He knows your Dad?
Randy "the viper" Orton
Yeap. They were friends in Japan. He used to hang out with Tyger some here in America though. I think I met him for the first time when I was fourteen or fifteen, he was like twenty one or something.
Amy Pirtle
Really? ….What was he like back then?
Randy "the viper" Orton
Ahh.. Much of the same, real quiet most of the time, except when him and Bob would go out at night. Matt would be the person to talk to about how Tyger used to be. I don’t know, but I’d imagine he was different before they went to that war.
Chris "mercennario" Danielson
Yeah… I couldn’t imagine what something like that would do to someone.
The three look on at Tyger and Riley making fools of themselves, expressions more serious after their discussion. Their expressions quickly change to laughter, as Tyger trips, busting his ass on the floor. Riley picks him up, as they stumble their was back to the table, sitting down.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
…I think I broke my hip.
Chris "mercennario" Danielson
See? What’d I say? You’re turning old on us!
Randy "the viper" Orton
I, personally, would give that dance a ten out of ten. It was pretty awesome.
Amy Pirtle
Yeah, you two should be on Dancing With The Stars.
Matt Riley
We’d totally win, man.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Yeah, as long as I don’t bust my hip.
All five of them laugh, as they finish off their drinks.

The five walk their way down a silent parking lot, as Mercennario and Amy try to keep the three inebriated guys from falling over. They walk until they get to Riley’s car, where they stop and say their partings.
Chris "mercennario" Danielson
See you, Tyger. Happy birthday, man.
Randy "the viper" Orton
See you next Saturday, Tyger. You better sober up by then. We got a night ahead of us.
Matt Riley
Yeaaaah, Happy birthday Micha-…. I mean Tyger.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Thanks guys, I’ll see ya’ll.
The three get into their car, as Tyger and Amy walk along, Tyger trying to remember where he parked. Eventually, they find the El Camino as Tyger begrudgingly hands Amy his keys, before they get in. Amy turns on the car, as Tyger leans back in his chair. She sits a minute, pondering her words.
Amy Pirtle
So… What did Matt mean when he said you were in a hospital?
Amy sits, waiting an answer. When she gets none, she looks over to see Tyger already asleep, quietly snoring. She sighs, disappointed her question was left unanswered, before she backs out of the parking space.

- Rural Woods Behind Tyger’s Home
- Possum Town, TN
……….…………………………………………………………………………………………………
We fade back open to a quiet patch of woods. Bird chirps and slight rustling of the fallen leaves are the only noises that are heard. After a few moments, Tyger comes strolling through the woods, taking a huge leap over a fallen tree. He walks along, spitting his dip on the ground as he walks. He comes around a big fallen tree on the ground, pushing down on it with his hand, before he sits down on it. He looks around, taking in the silence and the scenery for a calming moment.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
You know, the only thing that stays the same, is that things are always changin’. Shawn, me and you used to be great friends. Hall, me and you used to be great friends back in the day. I bailed you outta jail more times than I care to count, just because I thought we was great friends. Nowadays, ya’ll two have the balls to say that I ain’t a man, that I ain’t a good friend. I don’t get that man. I did everything in my power to be good to ya’ll, to get ya’ll to like me, and you know, I think that’s where it all with wrong with is. I had to TRY to get ya’ll to like me and be a great friend to ya’ll.
See, that’s why I’ve said that Evolution, Orton and Merc and Riley are better men than ya’ll. You see, I never had to try to get them to like me. I never felt like I wasn’t good enough to be hanging around them, that I had to try and be better for them. Yeah, we had good times Scott, and we had good times Shawn, but you know, the entire time I was bailing you out Scott, or we was making fun of people Shawn, I felt that I had to try and convince ya’ll that I was good enough for ya’ll. I never felt that way with any of the guys in Evolution.
But you know what I realized at Brawl For All? I wasn’t the one that wasn’t good enough. All along, I was better than you two. I didn’t have to better myself to be considered on of you guys. I had to lower myself. I almost went broke the number of times I got your ass outta jail, Scott. Does that make you better than me? I sat and fought for SNME at times, when you wanted to give up Shawn, when you stopped caring about those fans. Does that make you better than me?
Ya’ll’s actions at Brawl For All showed me the ya’ll are nothing. Attacking Merc and Riley? Double teaming me? Attacking Orton? Spray painting my back and defacing the Heavyweight Title like a pack of thugs? I thought ya’ll were “changed men”. Ya’ll ain’t no better than ya’ll used to be. Ya’ll ain’t men, ya’ll ain’t as good as ya’ll say you are. Ya’ll aren’t nothing but the immature little boys that ya’ll always have been.
Shawn, you don’t deserve to be World Champion. You don’t deserve to run this company the way you treat your wrestlers and the way you treat your fans. Some day soon, Shawn, I will wrestle you for that title, and I will beat you for that title, and it will then be back in the hands of someone that deserves it. When we do wrestle, I will prove than I am not only a better man than you, but a better wrestler. When I do beat you for that title, you know what that means? That’ll be my third reign, and that’s more than anyone has ever had in SNME. More than you, Shawn, and that’ll be proof, that I am what I say I am…. The best.
Tyger spits on the ground, as he takes off his hat, sitting it on his knee. He runs his hands through his hair, as he looks back into the deep woods again.
Justin "soulfire" Tyger
Something else happened at Brawl For All. Alberto Del Rio showed his alliance with Shawn and Hall and Nash, hitting Orton with a chair and helping them spray paint me. You know, you’d think I’d go off, all pissed off at him, but I’m not mad at him. I’m just disappointed.
I’m disappointed because Del Rio, you’re too good to be hanging with those guys. Del Rio, you’re far too great to have your name associated with them. See, hell and high water, I still think you’re one of the best new guys here, Del Rio. You have the most potential in the world, man, and with Shawn and Hall and Nash? Your potential will just be wasted away. You think Shawn is gonna let you shine as bright as you should shine?
You’re gonna be World Champion some day, Del Rio. It’s undeniable, it’s gonna happen some day or the other, and Del Rio? You’ll be a better champion that Shawn will ever be. Because you’re a better wrestler than he is, he won’t admit that, but it’s true. I’m sure someday we’ll wrestle against each other again, one on one, and I look foreword to that day.
But you know Del Rio, just because I like you and think you’re a great wrestler… That don’t mean that I’ll treat you no different, because you see… As good as you are… I’m just that much more better. You may be one of the best here in SNME… but you’re looking at the best right here. Del Rio, if I have to beat you during that tag match I will, but I’m not gunning for you. Shawn is my only problem. I don’t have a problem with you, I think the world of you, because I know you’re great, but if you try to do something against me, or you try to do something against Orton, or anyone in Evolution. Michael Christopher and Matt Riley are digging through the half fallen rubble of the building they were just in. Christopher stands on top of a concrete block, looking into a hole above them, seeing the boot of a soldier.
Michael Christopher
Dude, I found another one!
Matt Riley
Is he alive?
Michael Christopher
I don’t kno-….
Christopher touches the soldier’s hand, ice cold. Christopher’s face turns sour, as he looks back at Riley.
Michael Christopher

Riley props himself up on the block, grabbing the soldier’s right foot and arm, as Christopher grabs his left side.
Michael Christopher
Ready?…. One… Two… Three!
The two tug the body from the lift, as blood spurts all over Christopher’s face and mouth. Riley reacts, dropping his side, causing the body to spin around, spurting blood all over him. They drop the body, as they notice it doesn’t have a head. Blood pours from it, as Christopher spits on the ground, nearly gagging due to the blood that shot in his mouth. He regains his composure, before he lifts himself up, looking inside of the hole. He sees a large beam laying where the top of the body was, with blood spilled everywhere. Christopher rests his elbow on the bottom of the clearing, resting his head on his hand, not able to stop himself from staring at the bloody mess. He brings his hand down, laying it across his other arm, before he nearly slams his head down onto them.

As Tyger’s head hits his arms, we cut to his dark bedroom, in the peace of night. Tyger raises out of his bed, less shocking than before, as he is getting used to his dreams. He takes a few deep breaths, cleaning the sweat off his forehead. He looks over at Amy, who is still asleep. He gets out of bed with a loud grunt, as he holds on to his knee. He walks into his kitchen, opening the refrigerator, grabbing a Bud Light. He cracks it open, and sits down at his supper table, looking out into the dark night through the windows. He signs, and runs his hands through his hair, before he takes a long drink.

SCENE 006
- Present Day
- Bedroom of Justin Tyger
-Possum Town, TN
……….…………………………………………………………………………………………………
Once upon a day. I set off on a journey.
Wishing on the wind take me far from home.
Now, I'm on the waves inside this storm, whipping in the wind.
My sail is torn.
The ends, are never not my own
