The entire east coast is dreading what is soon to destroy us. All of the southern states have felt its power so far, those in Florida, Virginia, and the Carolinas. Hurricane Irene…that bitch.
Most people thought it would be some quick thing that would come and go…it might rain for a little while, maybe even get some thunder and lightning. Who knows? Maybe there will be more than the normal amount of wind outside. It was truly taken for granted, though it was being billed as the most powerful storm in years. Didn’t we hear that about the last storm the year before that was apparently going to force everyone to evacuate? It’s simple enough to just sit home on your six hundred dollar sofa with the windows closed, watching eyewitness news while the sound of rain smashes down on top of your piece of junk car parked outside. Was this going to be just another typical storm?
Absolutely not. My son was staying with my mother as I was out on the road with SNME. I even saw on the news that a young boy was killed in the storm by having a tree fall flat on top of him….such a shame. Another man was killed while surfing…what a dumbass. Even if those here in New Jersey wish to believe we are able to deal with some rain and thunder, in the back of our minds, we always want to be prepared for the worst. Houses ended up getting flooded….people lost electricity for days…food went bad….kids literally had nothing else to do besides read a book, can you believe that?
Sure, Hurricane Irene has lived up to its hype, much like myself. When I first came into the company four years ago, I was looked at just the same as Irene was. “This won’t be anything important…it will pass quickly and nobody will even remember.” Well, much to their chagrin, it may have passed, but it was surely important and will definitely be remembered. I came in here and beat the hell out of every diva that was thrown in front of me. I had to prove myself before I could truly show how powerful I could really be. I was matched up with a man that may possibly become the new World Champion come Highway 2 Hell, Seth Akira. I gave him a run for his money, and though I did not come out on top, I showed the world that I could definitely compete with the men out there.
Now I know I don’t need to be giving a history lesson, because nobody really cares what I’ve done in the past anymore. All that matters is what I will do in the future. This Sunday night, I will get the chance to go face to face with the newcomer, Mason Moore. He’s quite impressive so far, earning himself a win over the reigning Intercontinental Champion, Alberto Del Rio. He claims he should be named the number one contender for his title now, but I think he seemed to forget somebody. Just like the people on the east coast, the hurricane was belittled and treated with utter disrespect. I am still standing here, waiting patiently for my shot at the Intercontinental Championship, and I’ll be damned if I’m overlooked by another new guy that pops his head in the arena and claims to be someone special. Wonderful, you beat a champion. You want to know who I beat? I defeated Raven a few months ago. I defeated one of the longest reigning World Champions in history, CM Punk. Hell, I even defeated the current champion, Randy Orton once before. You want to babble on and on how you beat some snob with a two hundred thousand dollar car? Go for it, but in all honesty, you have lots more you’re going to have to prove if you want to be someone special here. “What can I possibly do?” you may ask….well, for starters, you can show the fans of SNME that you aren’t some fluke, and you can fight me. If you think fighting against a woman is hard enough, how do you expect to climb the ladder and be the top of the food chain in this company? I certainly won’t be taking it easy on you, and I hope to God that you feel the same about me.
Once I defeat you like the many others I have in the past, not only will I just be even better than I already am, but I’m going to steal your shot at the Intercontinental Championship. I’ve been here years and years fighting for my chance to get that title shot, and I’m tired of waiting. If I am not going to be given the chance to earn my shot at the championship….well, then I’m just going to have to steal it from you. Sure, I feel bad about stepping all over your hopes and dreams, but hey kid, it’s just business. You want to become someone well-known here in SNME? Defeat me. Defeat me and you will earn my services as your new manager. That alone will be the biggest step to your future success, as I have been in this business for a decade now, and I know this ring like the back of my hand. You want to become the best? Well, you better do your best right now and show me you can be something big. If not, you’ll be swept under the rug like a New York prostitute. Mason Moore, you’ve shown potential thus far in the ring, so I’m expecting you to bring you’re A game…you know I will. If you make one mistake, I will make Hurricane Irene look like a damn drizzle. This is your chance to shine….the question is, will you attack it head on, or will you crash and burn like the east coast?
