All of the the lights in the Saturday Night Main Event Arena abruptly shut off. The fans get excited, and are awaiting the arrival of the man they call Sting. Fog begins to shoot from the tunnel, and pours down the entrance ramp. A large black and white scorpion appears on the titan tron. A screeching sound sends a tingle down each and every fans spine as a white lite bursts from the tunnel. The lite is pointing toward the ring, and it is blinding. A dark shadow steps in front of the lite, just as "Seek and Destroy" by Metallica pounds out of the speakers. The fans begin to sing along with Metallica's front man James Hetfeild.
"We are scanning the scene
in the city tonight
We are looking for you
to start up a fight
There is an evil feeling
in our brains
But it is nothing new
you know it drives us insane
Running,
On our way
Hiding,
You will pay
Dying,
One thousand deaths
Running,
On our way
Hiding,
You will pay
Dying,
One thousand deaths
Searching,
Seek and Destroy
Searching,
Seek and Destroy
Searching,
Seek and Destroy
Searching,
Seek and Destroy"
The shadow slowly begins it's ascent up the backstage stairs, until it cuts out the light completely. The Legend known as Sting steps out from the tunnel, and onto the stage. Sting gazes into the sea of screaming fans, holding up their signs and chanting his name. The Stinger has a serious look on his face. He raises his hands into the air, as the fans scream even louder. He continues rallying the crowd, by pointing to the fans in familiar nWo Wolfpac fashion.
First to the right side of the audience, which is deafening. Then onto the left, which is equally loud. You can read the Stinger's lips, as he screams "That's what I'm talkin' about" before carrying on down the ramp. He pauses midway down the ramp, and motions toward the camera, before sliding into the ring. He points at the timekeeper, who tosses a microphone over the ropes, but falls about 3 feet short of his target. Sting stares at the microphone on the ground near his feet, as the fans begin to chant. "You fucked up! You fucked up! You fucked up!" The timekeeper's face is red, and he looks really embarrassed. Sting scoops up the microphone and begins to speak.
"Alright, let's get down to business. First and foremost, I have to say this. Last week, I let myself down. But more importantly, I let all of you down. You see, Randy Orton made this rivalry we have going on personal. He brought my father, and my precious daughter into the ring. He brought MY FAMILY into this ring. And then he RKO'ed my daughter. HE RKO'ed MY LITTLE DAUGHTER. Randy, that's just something you don't do. You don't mess with a man's family. When I saw that, and couldn't do anything about it, I plotted my revenge. And I had my chance for revenge. It was last week, on Saturday Night's Main Event. And I blew it. I went into that match more wound up, and angry than I had ever been in my life. I was stepping into the ring to make you hurt, Orton. I was stepping into this ring to make you suffer, to make you BLEED. And I blew it. I got to caught up in this psychopathic rage pulsing through out my body, and I underestimated you. And I know from experience- When you underestimate your opponent, you will pay for it. And I did. Randy, you RKO'ed me twice. And Shawn Michaels counted the 1,2,......3. You beat me Randy."
The fans are confused. They don't know where Sting is going with this. The audience is listening closely, trying to decipher the mixed messages the man in black is sending to them. The Stinger raises the microphone back up, and begins to speak again.
"But you made a mistake.... You didn't kill me. You see Randy, you may have defeated me, but you didn't kill me. You didn't kill my Legend, Mr. "Legend Killer." You only made me realize that I have to beat you down harder and harder. RKO'ing my little daughter, ha. That lit a fire underneath me that won't be extinguished until I taste your blood. And I am going to do everything in my power to stop your heart Randy. The next time we step into the ring, I am going to send you home in a wooden box."
The crowd is really into this segment of the show, and are applauding the Stinger, who is staring into the camera with a deadly serious look on his face. You can almost feel the hatred radiating off of the Legend, as he raises the microphone back up to his lips.
"Which makes me believe you are going to need some added incentive to even get back into the ring with me again. But I can fix that, and I will. You see, this Sunday at Rumble In the Jungle, I will be competing in a match that will result in Saturday Night Main Event Wrestling's first Intercontinental Champion being crowned. But in order to do that, I must first defeat Christopher Nowinksi."
The crowd mercilessly boos the Harvard Graduate, as The Stinger smiles. He looks into the sold out audience once again, before continuing his promo in the ring.
"Chris, I understand you are a Harvard Graduate. I also understand that you are determined to win, to succeed. But that isn't going to help you, Chris. Being book smart isn't going to help you in the world of professional wrestling. Especially here, in Saturday Night Main Event Wrestling, where we have the most hard hitting and cutthroat wrestlers in the world. Knowing how to split an atom, are solve a Rubix Cube in 17 seconds isn't going to pick up a win. So let me help you out. I'll give you some pointers. Yea, I'll tell you what I do to pick up a win. First, I beat down my opponent. I wear him down, until I can get him just where I want him. And when I get to that point, there is two options. Option A- I grab him by the head, and drop him down with a Scorpion Death Drop. This option will result in a victory via the referee's 3 count. But no, it's not over yet! We still have option B! And this is option B- Get my opponent to the point that he can't even stand up. At this time, I will apply a Scorpion Death Lock, and make my opponent tap out. Thus resulting in another victory for the Stinger. And Chris, you can answer this question yourself! You can answer this question this Sunday, at Rumble in the Jungle. And no matter what you choose, it will result in the same thing.... A victory for your's truly. See you Sunday, Chris."
The fans erupt as Sting throws his long, black, trench coat on the ground. The Stinger grabs his bat and raises it high into the air. The Stinger screams, WOOO!!! And is met back with an even louder response from the sold out crowd. "Seek and Destroy" hits the PA system as the Stinger walks out.
