Event: Saturday Night's Main Event Date: 10/07/06 Live From: Los Angeles, California
[glow=red,2,300]This week Paul Heyman has made it clear that Shawn Michaels and Batista are BANNED from the arena![/glow]
**The camera opens on the SNME logo, until it explodes showing action shots of all the superstars while “To Be Loved” by Papa Roach plays out. At the end, the word “Redefined” is branded over the logo, and the camera whizzes round showing all the fans in the sold out Staples Centre in Los Angeles, before going to the announce table** JOEY STYLES Welcome to what truly is a new era in SNME
AUSTIN OWENS To those thinking it started last week, you were wrong. Well half wrong, as last week we saw the firing of co-owner Shawn Michaels by now 100% owner Paul Heyman
JOEY STYLES In a shocking scene, Heyman directed traffic while Mason Paine and Chris Jericho took out Shawn Michaels, even after the heroic efforts of ex-superstar Batista
AUSTIN OWENS But, we’ll get some answers later when Paul Heyman stars in the season premiere of the Highlight Reel. Plus, we have the start of the Intercontinental Championship tournament
JOEY STYLES Don’t forget Mason Paine taking on The Sandman, CM Punk vs. Justin Tyger and Kurt angle vs. Randy Orton in a Steel Cage match, the winner goes on to the next pay-per-view
AUSTIN OWENS And speaking of the Intercontinental Title tournament, Paul Heyman has some words to share with the eight men involved in the tournament. The camera quickly cuts backstage to a locker room. Standing all around the room are eight men. Panning around the room, each wrestler is shown, Booker T, Mr. Kennedy, The Roy, Edge, Muhammed Hassan, Rob Van Dam, John Cena, and Carlito Caribbean Cool. The eight men talk amongst one another about how they were gonna win this tournament and become the intercontinental champion. The door suddenly swings open revealing Paul Heyman with Mason Paine following him. The eight men slowly turn around to look at Paul Heyman.
Heyman: Silence!
The men quickly stop talking. A serious look creeps across all of their faces as Heyman closes his eyes and begins to sniff the air. He takes a deep breath, and releases it with a smile. His beady little eyes open and he begins to speak.
Heyman: Do you smell that? Take a quick wiff.....
Carlito:(mumbled under breath) Smells like shit......
Heyman: What was that? Who in the hell said that? Seven of the eight wrestlers quickly turn around to point at Carlito who is standing with a grin across his face.Heyman: You son of a bitch! You keep that smart ass mouth of yours shut while I’m in here. You got that?Mason Paine quickly steps to the back of the room and gets face to face with Carlito. Carlito looks up at the giant and almost begins to laugh.Heyman: Now that his mouth is closed I can continue. Now as you all know, and eight man tournament is being held for the Intercontinental Championship. You eight have carefully been selected to compete in this tournament. Four of you ungrateful bastards are going to find out tonight just who makes it to the next round while the other four of you get to watch in this room all night. Friends will fight friends, and foes will fight foes. This is a tournament to see which one of you are the best! The eight men look around each other and begin cracking their knuckles. The look across their faces becomes more serious as Heyman motions for Mason to come along. The two exit the room as the camera cuts back to the ring.
[glow=red,2,300]Intercontinental Championship Tournament[/glow]
-VS- Mr. Ken Kennedy -VS- The Roy
** “Mistaaaaaaaa…..Kennedy!” explodes from the P.A. system as Ken Kennedy comes from behind the black entrance curtain. The crowd boos loudly as Kennedy just smiles all the way down the ramp. A little boy screams “You Suck!” right in Ken’s face. Mr. Kennedy simply replies with a middle finger, appalling the kid and his parents. Ken smiles as the crowd boos louder. Mr. Kennedy enters the ring as the lights dim to black except a single spot light on him. A old-school microphone begins to lower until it meets Ken’s hands.**Kennedy: Saturday Night’s Main Event!**The crowd boos.**Kennedy: I am, MISTAAAAAAAR…KEN…**Ken is cut off quickly by The Roy’s music. Ken turns in shock as the Roy comes sprinting to the ring. The crowd cheers as The Roy slides in the ring only to be met with a array of fist and kicks from Kennedy. Roy tries to fight back but to no avail. The Custom champion finally gets the upper hand with a bunch of shots to the chest of Kennedy. The Roy goes for a kick to the gut but is caught by Kennedy. Ken swings The Roy around, ducking the dragon whip attempt by The Roy. Ken pick The Roy up and tosses him into the corner. He climbs onto the second turnbuckle and begins to deliver shots to The Roy’s head. The crowd doesn’t count the punches, instead they boos and start a “Kennedy Sucks” chant. Ken hops down and smiles. He begins to taunt the crowd, letting his guard down by turning his back to The Roy. Roy hops on the second turnbuckle and nails Kennedy in the back with a missile dropkick! The crowd cheers that Kennedy is down. The Roy takes advantage by putting a triangle choke on Kennedy’s neck. Ken squirms until he reaches the ropes and the ref forces The Roy to release the hold. Roy gets up and when he sees Kennedy on his knees he bounces off the ropes and kicks Ken right in the jaw! The Roy bounces to the opposite ropes and does a swinging elbow drop into Kennedy’s chest. Right as the Roy gains momentum, Kennedy grabs his leg and locks in a modified ankle lock. Roy begins to scream until he flips over sending Kennedy through the ropes onto the cold mat outside the ring. As Kennedy tries to get up, the Roy climbs to the top rope. Right as Kennedy gets to his feet and turns, the Roy launches himself at Ken. Kennedy moves quickly sending the air bound Roy’s chest right into the guardrail! The crowd “ohm’s” as The Roy makes a huge “thwap” as he smacks into the rail. Kennedy slides into the ring to stop the ref’s 10 count. Ken gains his breath as the Roy slowly slides in the ring. Ken begins to stomp at the injured Roy’s body. Ken really gets mad and begins to choke the Roy with his hands. The ref yanks him off; only for Kennedy to begin stomping yet again. The ref tells Kennedy he’ll disqualify him if he doesn’t stop. Ken backs off and just grins for the crowd as all the fans boo simultaneously. Kennedy picks The Roy up and nails him with a snap suplex. He drags The Roy’s body into the center of the ring and hooks the leg.**
"1...2...kick out!"
**Kennedy begins to get pissed off. He pick The Roy up and bashes his head into the turnbuckle pad a few times. Then he nails The Roy with a German suplex. Ken hooks the leg yet again.**
"1...2...kick out!"
**Kennedy really gets mad. He slides out of the ring and grabs The Roy’s Custom Championship belt. He slides in the ring attempting to hit the Roy, but the ref stops him. Kennedy begins to argue with the ref as The Roy bounces off the ropes and goes for a cross body on Ken. Kennedy moves quickly forcing The Roy to nail the ref. The Roy tires to wake the ref up as Kennedy grabs the belt. He swings at The Roy, but Roy ducks. The Roy toe-kicks Ken right in the gut, causing Kennedy to drop the belt and bend over. The Roy nails a DDT right onto the belt and the ref didn’t see it! The Roy hooks the leg but the ref doesn’t see it. The Roy gets up and starts to shake the ref. Kennedy gets up and grabs the title. The Roy turns around to be met with a devastating shot to the head. The Roy gets busted open and Kennedy tosses the title. Ken hooks the leg as the ref comes back.**
"1...2...3!"
**The bell rings as Kennedy’s music hit’s the P.A. The crowd boo’s as Kennedy quickly slides out of the ring. The ref begins to examine The Roy as Kennedy walks up the ramp and grins knowing he’s advanced in the Intercontinental title tournament. The SNME camera goes to commercial.**

-VS- Edge -VS- Booker T
“You Can’t Stop The Reign” booms through the speakers as Booker T steps through the curtain with one half of the Tag Team Championships around his waist. Booker T raises his hands in the air and quickly slams them down causing giant flames to erupt across the stage behind him. Booker T then looks backwards and holds out his arm. The lovely Sharmell steps through the curtain in a long white dress. She slowly walks to her man and takes his arm. The couple walks to the ring ring and enters it. As Booker stands in the corner, Sharmell unsnaps the title and removes it from his waist.
Suddenly “You Think you Know Me.......” echos through the arena followed by Alterbridge’s “Metalingus”. A thick fig slowly emerges from the stage. The song grows heavier as Edge comes running through the fog in his blue trench coat. With his half of the Tag Team Championships on his shoulder. Edge takes off sprinting towards the ring and slides in. He slides across the mat and looks up at Booker. Edge then stands and removes his coat. He then tosses his championship to the outside and tosses his shades into the crowd. Both men begin to circle each other as the bell sounds.“Ding.....Ding.....Ding!”Edge and Booker extend their hands in a handshake. The two men nod their heads at each other and quickly lock up in an old fashioned collar and elbow tie up. Edge breaks free and backs away. Edge turns away from Booker. Booker begins to smile, but Edge quickly kicks him in the gut. Edge then delivers a quick hip toss and drives his elbow into the abdomen of Booker. Edge pulls Booker up by his braids and sends him into the corner. Edge charges at him only for Booker to move. Edge nails the ring post with his shoulder!
Booker pulls Edge towards him with his tights and nails him with a back body slam. As lays on the mat, Booker drives his boot into the hurt shoulder. Booker begins to climb the turnbuckles as Edge begins to stand up. Booker comes flying down with a missile drop kick only for Edge to catch him by his legs. Booker’s head slams to the mat and Edge catapults him out of the ring. Booker sails over the ropes and crashes into the barriers.
The enthusiastic fans reach over the barricade and pat Booker on the back as Sharmell pulls him up. Booker shakes his head and points into the ring at Edge. Edge bounces off the ropes and leaps over the other side of the ring to come crashing down on top of Booker. Both men are now down. Sharmell quickly runs to Booker’s aid and pulls him up. Booker shakes off the pain and pulls Edge up. He then rolls him into the ring and follows up with a couple of stomps to the abdomen. Edge pulls himself up and begins to throw punches.
Both begin to exchange blows with one another. Left! Right! Another Left! Edge rocks Booker back into the corner. Edge now rams his shoulder into Bookers mid-section. Edge lifts Booker up and places him on the top turnbuckle. Edge climbs to the second rope and grabs hold of Booker. He raises him up and falls backwards nailing Booker with a superplex. The crowd screams in amazement as the ref begins to ten count.“1.....2.....3.....4.....5......6.....7.....8"Both men are finally to their feet. Edge charges at Booker who catches him with a Book-End! Booker goes for the cover.“1......2......2.99!”Edge luckily kicks out. Booker begins to pitch a fit. He then pulls Edge to his feet and kicks him int the gut. As Edge leans over, Booker calls for the Double Axe kick. Booker bounces off the ropes and sprints toward Edge. Edge lifts up and nails Booker with the spear. Sharmell begins screaming her head off for Booker as Edge makes the cover.“1......2.........2.75!”Booker T has kicked out! Edge begins to pull his own hair in fury. Edge pulls Booker up and tosses him into the corner. Booker quickly shoves Edge causing him to slam right into the referee. The ref is now down and Sharmell has entered the ring. She jumps on Edge’s back as Booker grabs a chair from the outside. Booker slides back into the ring and lifts the chair above his head. As he swings it toward Edge, Edge bends forward letting the chair collide with Sharmell.
Booker drops the chair in shock and tends to his wife, Sharmell. Edge stands behind Booker with a sadistic smile across his face. Booker slowly turns around with a frightened look upon his face. Edge then clashes with Booker T with a huge spear. The referee is now up to make the count as Edge covers Booker T.“1..........2..........3!”Edge has done it. Edge has beaten his own tag team partner to advance in the Intercontinental Championship tournament. The referee raises Edge’s hand as he begins to celebrate. Edge then looks down at Booker T and drops to his knees. He pulls his partner up and then helps Sharmell up. Edge looks at both Booker and Sharmell and extends his hands toward them. Booker and Sharmell look at eachother and then back at Edge. They both shake his hand and raise his arms in the air. Sharmell hands both men their Tag Team Championships as the show cuts to a commercial break.

[glow=red,2,300] Chris Jericho returns with the highlight reel featuring SNME Owner Paul Heyman[/glow] **The camera opens on Austin Owens and Joey Styles at the announce table**JOEY STYLES Now as you see, the ring is being set up by attendants for the Highlight Reel, and this week’s guest will be none other than Paul Heyman
AUSTIN OWENS Now I may act a hard-ass but Shawn Michaels has done so much for this company but last week he was fired, in the most disgraceful circumstances
JOEY STYLES And now all we have is that sicko Paul Heyman running the entire company
AUSTIN OWENS Don’t expect to be paid then…**Austin is cut off by the sound of by the sound of “King of my World” by Saliva hitting the speakers. The crowd collectively boo like crazy as Chris Jericho struts out onto the stage. Chants of “You Sold Out!” nearly blow the roof off of the Staples Centre. Jericho rolls into the ring and takes his microphone quickly as the music stops**CHRIS JERICHO What a glorious time it is to be in SNME, with the true guiding light of wrestling helming the ship. I shall waste no time entertaining you jackasses-
CROWD You Sold Out!
CHRIS JERICHO No, I moved up on the food chain. Introducing my guest tonight, the saviour of SNME, the leader of this marching band. The 100% Owner of SNME…PAUL HEYMAN!**Jericho signals to the stage as “Devil in a Midnight Mass” by Billy Talent takes over the airwaves. Paul Heyman rises up from below the stage, arms outstretched and the crowd are going crazy. As Paul marches triumphantly to the ring, there are foul chants directed towards him, and trash is thrown at him. Heyman motions behind him and a security force follows him and surrounds the ring. Heyman rolls in and he and Jericho hug in the ring. The music stops and Heyman grabs his microphone**CHRIS JERICHO Well Mr. Heyman it is truly an honour to have you as my first guest on the season premiere of the Highlight Reel
PAUL HEYMAN And Chris, it’s an honour to be here
CHRIS JERICHO Well, we can have our buddy time later. Let’s get to business. Why did you throw that no-good, bible-bashing, kiss ass Shawn Michaels out of SNME?**The crowd boo and chant “We Want HBK”**PAUL HEYMAN Well Chris, aside from the reasons you mentioned there, it was time for a new era in SNME. We needed to get rid of the trash, and fast. I pondered for a week over who I should fire, but then in an ironic twist of fate, God told me to fire Shawn Michaels. When I say God told me, I mean that sadistic voice in the back of my head. He changes allegiances more times then these whores in the arena change their men.**Jericho gives a massive belly-laugh while the crowd boo more**PAUL HEYMAN But to be fair, I don’t need a reason. I deserve full power, I’m a creative genius and people know it, they just don’t like to admit it.
CHRIS JERICHO Well, what’s your next big announcement?
PAUL HEYMAN I’ve been pondering it for a while Chris. And I believe I have something in mind. You know in every sport you have that one team that just wins everything, the dynasty? Well, we need one here. And I am slowly making my own one. We have Mason Paine, the new, powerful youngster. We have you, who should be World Champion; we just need a final piece of that puzzle. And I’ll be thinking long and hard about that but these no-good punks here in Los Angeles don’t deserve to hear it.
CHRIS JERICHO Excellent move Mr. Heyman. Now you bring up a very good point. I should be World Champion again. Last week, I was screwed by a blatant low blow at the end of the match. Kick to the ribs? Hell no. I put Batista out of the business. I have taken on the best and beaten the best. I deserve another shot at the title
PAUL HEYMAN Well, incase you didn’t know, next week we will be coming live from Madison Square Garden. The biggest arena in the world. And next week, we need a groundbreaking main event. You say Punk didn’t get disqualified rightly? Well how about next week, it’s Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk. Final chance, there must be a winner in a “Manhattan Street Fight”**Jericho is beaming from ear to ear and nods like a dog at Heyman**PAUL HEYMAN Well that’s settled. Now, let’s get the hell out of here and-**Heyman is stopped by the opening riff of “Unleashed” by Saliva! The crowd are going insane, and the security moves towards the ramp. Heyman and Jericho are leaning against the ropes but Batista runs through the crowd and into the ring. He and Jericho start going at it, and Batista is creaming him. Heyman jumps on Batista’s back but gets thrown off. Security rushes the ring but they are getting pounded off by Batista. Mason Paine charges to the ring and suddenly it’s a 2-on-1. Heyman is directing traffic until Shawn Michaels runs from the crowd! The crowd are going insane as HBK is fighting off Paine and Jericho. Heyman gets his men out of the ring, and security is blocking the way. However HBK runs and dives over the top rope onto the security and Heyman’s dynasty! Batista runs out the ring and are trying to fight towards Heyman but somehow they get up the ramp, more security coming down to stop Batista & HBK. The camera fades to black on Heyman’s shocked face with Jericho & Mason just behind.**
-VS- CM Punk -VS- Justin Tyger
The opening riff of “This Fire Burns” by Killswitch Engage takes over the airwaves. and golden pyro fires off along the stage as the World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, walks out. The crowd begins chanting his name and Punk is beaming with a smile. He walks to the ring, and fans are throwing streamers into the air, similarly to his time in ROH. Punk rolls into the ring and takes off his gorgeous title.
The heavy opening of “Happy” by Mudvayne overtakes the arena. Kasey “Justin Tyger” Kage emerges from the curtain with a cocky smile across his face. The song grows soft and the opening lyrics are sung. Kage drops to his knees and clinches his fists. The song grows heavy once again as Kage lets out a yell. He jumps up to his feet and takes off running for the ring. He slides in and nails Punk with a take down. As Kage mounts Punk he begins to drive his fist into Punk’s face. Swinging over and over again Kage opens up a wound on CM Punk’s forehead.
The referee calls for the bell signaling the beginning of the match. Kage finally steps away from Punk with a vicious smile across his face. He sets Punk up and delivers a thunderous kick against Punk’s head. Kage pulls Punk to his feet and drives him back down with a stiff DDT.
Without any remorse Kage lifts Punk up. He places his head between his legs and plants him with a piledriver. Punk is being destoryed before the eyes of his own loving fans. Kage bounces off the ropes and drives his knee into Punk’s neck.
Kage then pulls Punk to his feet one last time. This time Kage signals for a quick ending. He lifts CM Punk onto his shoulders and puts the nail in the coffin with the Spicolli Driver. Kage crosses Punk’s arms and pins him.
“1.......2.......3!”
Kage has completely demolished the World Heavyweight Champion in an instant. The referee raises Kage’s hand as “Happy” overtakes the arena once more. -VS- Mason Paine -VS- The Sandman **The camera opens on ringside**AUSTIN OWENS What a match we’re going to have now. Mason Paine vs. The Sandman
JOEY STYLES Those expecting some sort of a technical master class better change to another channel; this is going to be a brawl
AUSTIN OWENS From what I hear, the referee is just going to be there to count 1-2-3 and check to see if somebody quits.
JOEY STYLES But from seeing both these men, I somehow doubt it**The opening riff of Enter sandman plays over the arena and the crowd rise to their feet, begin to make some noise. They turn their heads, looking for him but cannot see him until the drums kick in. The crowd roar as Sandman steps onto a balcony, and opens up a beer as the guitars kick in. The song is really picking up, just building to the end of the greatest opening in music. Then, it happens and the crowd go wild, waving their arms as Sandman begins to make his way to the ring. The LA crowd sing along to James Hetfield’s lyrics as Sandman walks around each floor, drinking beers and crushing the cans over his head. Sandman gets down to the bottom floor at the start of the second verse, and starts being given beers by fans. He makes his way to the front and stands on the guard rail, seemingly conducting the fans as they wave their arms and sing along. Sandman jumps down from the rail, and begins to walk around the ring during an immense guitar solo. As the music slows down into the spoken word part of the song, Sandman rolls into the ring, with another 6 pack of beer. He throws a can to each side of the ring, waiting for fans to grab it, and as the song gets going again, Sandman opens the beers and the crowd are deafeningly loud, waving their hands in a monumental sight. Sandman stands on each four corners, pointing at the fans, as they begin to applaud themselves as the song reaches its conclusion. The crowd roar, but quickly begin to boo as Warrior Part 2 then begins to fill the arena. There is no singing or dancing this time as Mason walks to the ring, with a group of gangstas from Compton, who are shouting abuse at the fans. Mason simply stands, straight-faced, until Sandman leans through the ropes and spits beer at all the men. The bell rings!**
The four gangstas rush the ring, Sandman fighting them back. One gets thrown over the top rope onto the steps, one is slammed down and thrown out, another is knocked out with the kendo stick and the final man gets a can crushed on his head. While Sandman is distracted however, Mason craftily sneaks into the ring and when Sandman turns, he’s clotheslined down to the mat. The crowd boo as Mason stands over sandman, driving elbows into Sandman’s head and chest. Mason stands up and raises his arms up while the crowd chant “Mason Sucks!”
Mason grabs Sandman and throws him into the ringpost, before booting him out of the ring through the middle ropes. Paine steps out onto the apron and tries to hit a double axe handle but sandman catches him with a right hand to the mid-section. That makes Mason fly forward, over the announce table, and an inebriated Sandman soon follows. Sandman grabs a cable, and begins to choke Mason with it like a dog! Paine reaches his arms out desperately; he can’t catch his breath at all.
Paine is fading but brings an elbow back and catches Sandman in the temple with it. Sandman has to release his choke and Mason crawls up. As both men are standing, Paine catches him with a boot to the gut, and then throws him into the ring post. Sandman turns around dazed, but then raises his middle finger to the delight of the crowd. Mason tilts his head then nearly knocks Sandman out with a right hand to the jaw! Sandman slumps over the stairs, and Mason grabs him and throws him into the ring.
Mason rolls in after Sandman and begins to stomp him down into the canvas. Mason picks him up, and spits in sandman’s face, on the swollen, bruised gash now on his face. Mason sends him into the ropes then brings him down with an Arn Anderson-like spinebuster! Sandman holds his head in pain, and Mason looks around for a weapon and grabs Sandman’s Singapore cane. Sandman staggers to his feet and Mason brings the cane down but Sandman brings his hands out and grabs it!
Mason looks around in shock as Sandman boots him and yanks away the cane. Mason stands up straight and is wailed on by Sandman over the head, but Mason stays on his feet. He shakes it away, and then takes a shot to the ribs, but again; nothing. Mason turns around and gets it over the back, but again nothing. Mason turns around himself, smirking and takes the cane, and breaks it over Sandman’s head! Sandman stays on his feet for around 2 seconds before falling straight down through the ropes.
Mason points to two of his remaining gangstas to throw Sandman back in to him. Paul Heyman begins to walk down to the ring to the hatred of the crowd. Mason puts Sandman in-between his legs and lifts him up, before dropping him with a running powerbomb. Heyman shakes his head, and raises one finger. Paine nods, and gets up, dragging Sandman’s body up aswell. He lifts him up, runs around the ring and obliterates him onto the canvas. Heyman rolls into the ring as the referee begins to count.
"1...2...3!"
**Warrior Part 2 begins to play again, and Heyman pulls Mason up. Heyman raises his arms as the crowd boo and SNME cuts to commercial**

The camera cuts backstage to a hallway. A group of police are holding down someone that can’t clearly be seen. The camera moves closer to see Shawn Michaels in the center of the circle of police on the floor. Shawn is trying to fight them off but there are too many of them.
Shawn: Get off of me! I own half of this damn company!
Officer: Sir, we suggest you close your mouth before you get yourself into anymore trouble. This kind of behavior is intolerable.
The camera moves closer as Shawn rolls over. He spots the camera and begins to stand up.
Shawn: Pull me up! Now bring that camera a little closer. If Heyman wants me arrested then I’ve got one last thing to say to him.
The police motion the camera towards them.
Shawn: Paul......you son of a bitch! I’ve had enough of your crap for the past two weeks. Next week, you won’t like the news I’m bringing with me.....you won’t like it at all!
Shawn takes off running trying to get away from the police. To no use they grab hold of him and begin dragging him. The camera follows closely behind and Shawn continues to speak.
Shawn: Heyman! This isn’t the end! You hear that? I’ll be back for your ass......and I won’t be alone! The board of directors is already hearing my case.....and I’ll be back Heyman.......I’ll be back!
The police men pull Shawn through a door to the parking lot. They open to door to the police car and toss him in. The police car then speeds away without the police driving...........
Officer: Wait a minute.......who was driving??? [glow=red,2,300] The Main Event:[/glow] [glow=red,2,300] Steel Cage #1 Contender's Match[/glow] -VS- Kurt Angle -VS- Randy Orton **An ominous music fills the arena as the steel cage is lowered to the ringside area. As it is around the ring, officials put it into place, and the camera goes to the announcers**JOEY STYLES This is going to be brutal. Postponed from last week, it’s Kurt Angle and Randy Orton, one-on-one inside a steel cage and the winner gets a shot at the World Heavyweight Champion
AUSTIN OWENS Without a doubt, this is one of the biggest matches in both men’s career. The winner is going to New Blood Rising, 3 weeks away as the number 1 contender, and in my opinion, both men are capable of holding the world title.
JOEY STYLES This is no disqualifications, no time limit. No referee in the ring, it is strictly escape rules
AUSTIN OWENS Well, here we go. It’s time for tonight’s Saturday Night MAIN EVENT**The bell rings and the opening bars of Medal begin to play. The crowd rise to their feet as the Olympic hero Kurt Angle walks onto the stage. He raises his arms and red, white and blue pyro go around the arena. Angle shakes himself out, looking at the fans, then focusing on the cage. He walks down and climbs in through the door. Angle raises his arms again, going round all four sides of the fans. Angle crouches in the ring; poised as his music stops. HEY! Randy Orton’s music rains down over the arena and the cocky youngster struts onto the stage. He stretches out his arms and poses as golden pyro comes down from the rafters. Orton begins to strut to the ring, and immediately begins climbing the cage. The music stops and we’re on!**
Angle climbs up the opposite side and both men are battling on top of the cage. Orton hasn’t even climbed in but is getting wailed on by Angle. Angle is grabbing Orton, pulling him over, and both men are on the top rope. Orton is dazed, and Angle is cautiously elbowing him again and again before ramming his head into the mesh! Orton loses grip with one arm, and as he is drove in again, he flies back into the ring. Angle jumps down onto him and begins furiously attacking him with rights and lefts.
Orton is trying to get his hands up to block Angle, and manages to swing an elbow into Angle’s head. Kurt falls back and Orton begins to crawl up. As Kurt is getting onto his feet, Orton runs at him, and cross bodies him into the steel. Kurt walks out, holding his ribs, seeming winded and gets shot back with a European uppercut. Kurt holds his throat, and Orton is up now, sending Angle against the ropes then knocking him down with a clothesline. Orton bounces off the ropes, jumps over Angle’s body; Kurt is up and Orton leapfrogs him but Kurt quickly turns and German suplexes Orton!
Kurt keeps a hold of Randy and rotates his body back up again, and hits a second German suplex. Kurt gets up again and releases him backwards into the steel. Orton connects with a thud, and holds his head in pain, as Kurt rolls up to the mat again. He walks over to Orton and pulls him up, giving him repeated knife edge chops, while the crowd “Wooo” in unison. Orton staggers around in pain and turns around into a bionic elbow from Angle. Orton goes down with a thud and Kurt begins to scale the cage.
The crowd rise to their feet as Angle is making good progress, until Orton scrambles up and pulls Angle down to the mat. Orton begins to put the boots on and lifts Kurt up, but puts him in an abdominal stretch. Kurt begins to yell in pain, he can’t break out or submit. Kurt tries to wriggle, then brings Orton down with a hip toss, but Kurt falls down, holding his ribs aswell. Angle has to use the ropes to get up, but Orton rises quickly and lunges at him but Angle drops to the mat and Orton eats the steel!
Orton turns around and gets a back body drop almost immediately from Kurt. Angle drops to his knees and slaps on a sleeper hold. Orton waves his arms around, trying to grab something that just isn’t there. Kurt begins to move to the mat with it, and wraps his legs around Orton. However, quick as a flash, Orton morphs the move into a cross face chicken wing! Orton immediately goes from drowsy to being very much awake and in pain. Randy is screaming but Kurt is just leaning back more and more, digging in the pressure. Kurt rolls over, onto Orton’s back but that allows the Legend Killer to rise up, and ram Kurt into the steel. Kurt lets go of the move, and Randy angrily knees Kurt in the head, sending him into the corner. Orton charges and splashes Kurt in the corner, then sits him onto the top rope. Orton stands in front of him and snapmares him from the top rope to the floor, leaving Angle in a sitting position. Randy then jumps and hits a perfect missile dropkick into the back of Angle’s neck, whipping his head back!
Angle goes back slowly onto the mat, while Randy crawls up. Randy looks around and begins to climb to the top rope. He stares but then climbs the cage while angle is barely moving. Randy is standing 15 feet in the air, and raises his arms before jumping; attempting to splash Angle but Angle lifts his knees! Orton bounces away around 5 feet; he may have crushed his ribs! Orton is coughing up, and there is a small trickle of blood coming from the corner of his mouth. Angle begins to crawl towards the door which is opened up!
Angle is moving slowly, pulling himself out but Orton leaps, grabbing onto Angle’s foot! Orton begins to crawl over Kurt and grabs the cage door, and brings it back into Angle’s head, sending him back into the ring. Orton moves away and the door is locked. Orton picks Angle up by the singlet and raises him up, dropping him with a rear atomic drop. Angle is holding onto his tail bone, and Orton capitalises, throwing Angle into the steel. Kurt staggers back but is rammed into it again, and Orton begins to grate his head against the steel.
Angle shoves Randy back, a small gash now on his forehead. Orton runs at Kurt but Kurt flapjacks him against the steel. Randy turns round and Angle hits him with a snap suplex. Kurt rises quickly and hits a kneedrop, but stays on the floor, putting Orton into an armbar. Orton screams in pain, his mouth now red, and blood starting to drip down his neck and onto his chest. Orton tolls up, but Kurt is holding on, still with the armbar. Orton uses his strength to lift Angle up and runs with him into the steel, dumping him behind the ropes.
Orton uses the same ropes for leverage, and begins to choke Angle with his boot. Kurt swings his hands out trying to get at Orton, and resorts to giving him a low blow! The crowd cheer while Orton drops to his knees, holding his nads in pain. Angle rolls out from under the ropes, gets up and kicks Orton hard in the back, sending him down face first onto the mat. Angle begins to climb the ropes and then begins to climb the cage! He is nearly there when Orton nips up and gives chase. The two men are trading blows near the top of the cage; both are in a very precarious position. Orton swings but misses and Angle grabs him. Kurt jumps back and Angle Slams Randy Orton from the top of the cage!
Both men are laid out, sprawled out in the centre of the ring, Orton is completely still apart from an occasional twitching of the leg. After a few moments, both men begin to move. Kurt is trying to get up while Orton is crawling towards the door. Orton is halfway out until Angle dives and locks on the ankle lock, dragging Randy back into the middle! Orton is screaming, tapping out but Kurt keeps twisting. Orton has tears in his eyes, and if Kurt hurts the ankle enough, randy may not be able to escape the cage to victory!
Kurt finally lets go, while the champion, a bruised and battered CM Punk steps onto the stage to watch the match. Kurt points at Punk and lowers the straps on his singlet and lets out a yell and the crowd are going wild. Kurt begins to climb the cage, slowly however; due to the blood loss. Orton is on his knees, but can barely stand. Angle is nearly over while Orton is hobbling up the cage! Angle gets one leg over but Orton pulls on the other one and strikes Angle in the head. Orton gets a leg other and both men are trading blows on top of the cage.
Kurt connects with a hard right hand and as Orton staggers backwards and forwards, he connects with an even harder left hand. Kurt swings but misses and Orton uses his good leg to swing around and kick angle off the cage onto the top rope! Orton has the time to leave but brings a leg over to the inside. Orton takes a step down, and leaps, grabbing Angle’s neck and hits an RKO off the top of the cage! The crowd chant “Holy Shit!” in a tremendous volume, as both men are nearly knocked out. Orton is moving however, and trembling like a leaf; begins to pull himself up. Orton is climb the cage, while Kurt is now barely conscious and moves towards the door! It’s a race, and Orton turns to see Angle half out, and he jumps 12 foot on his bad ankle to the floor! Orton wins!
**”Burn In My Light” by Mercy Drive plays over the speakers, as Angle rolls out of the cage, and sees Orton, in tremendous pain, raises his arms in victory; while at the top of the stage, Punk smirks and nods at Orton. Kurt, meanwhile, grabs a microphone as both men are trying to leave**KURT ANGLE Wait one god damn minute. If you think this is over, you have another thing coming!**Angle pauses and takes in a breath, as Orton, Punk and the fans are clueless**KURT ANGLE At New Blood Rising, Randy Orton and CM Punk will be in a match for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, also in that match will be the man who is cashing in his Money in the Bank!**The crowd explode, and Orton drops to his knees in shock**KURT ANGLE That’s right boys…October 29’th for the World Heavyweight Championship – 3 Way Dance!**Angle drops the microphone and Medal plays out over the speakers. SNME ends with all 3 men staring wild eyed at each other!**
