“Say”The word whispers itself, as no one can speak in a place where they cannot be seen. If no one sees him say the word, then he did not say it.
The moonlight illuminates the desert ground, looking out over the Grand Canyon. The night is brisk. It would be warm, but the wind makes it cold. Dead silence echoes for miles around, as the stepping of feet is heard. The chasm resonates a voice singing, “Fall Back Again. . . Fall Back Again. . . Fall Back Again.”
The night seems to engulf all light, as if it were being sucked in by a black hole, until there is only left a faint amount of moonlight to hit the rocky ground. That light is lucky. It gets to come down to the Earth and explore the ground for a while. But the light is very impatient, and is soon blocked by the shadow of a man. He wears sunglasses, a black button down shirt, and khaki pants. He silently chews at him gum, a smirk on his face.“You really think I did it. Am I really that malicious? My past actions say yes, but you should know that if I were going to take someone out, you wouldn’t be worth my time. I would take out the moon, not the stars. I’m not going to admit it to please you, or appease you. Look about your roundabout, your merry-go-round. Look at the world surrounding you. It is filled with chaos, confusion, and disarray. You blame me! You should know I only manipulate people into putting themselves into the place where I can confuse them. You simply were manipulated where you stood. I have full control over my puppets, whereas your puppet master lets you choose where he controls you. And your puppet master, your God, is Valo Synnclaire. If at all your God’s gaze falls upon you, it’s with a mischievous grin, Look At Him!”Beyer points to the moon, looking up to the heavens. The look in his eyes says that he is ready to do battle. What is his obsession with the moon? He seems to have a need to destroy it, but what good could come from his victory? The heavenly body that is necessary to our ecosystem has an enemy, and that enemy holds all of the ammunition. ”Sting, forget about the reasons and the treasons you are seeking. You’re coming after me for things I didn’t do, open your eyes and see that. Forget about the notion that your emotions can be swept away. You’re scared, and even worse, you’re running from your fear. And that fear is chasing you into a trap. Forget about being guilty, we are innocent. You cannot blame yourself for this, nor me. This is the work of an evil man. Do not fall into his trap, or you will soon find your life swept away.” A white bird flies overhead, an odd site in the middle of the night. Ryan and the camera both follow the bird as it flies over the canyon, directly into the moon, being shot halfway over the gap. The bird plummets into the hole in the ground, the red rocks turning a crimson. The shooter cannot be seen, but Beyer calls out. “Fall Back Again. . . Fall Back Again. . . Fall Back Again!” Beyer remains vigilant. He sees the death of the white bird as a sign. The wheels in his mind race, and he soon has interpreted the whole situation. He is like the bird, innocent, and he believes that he will suffer the same fate. He has cheated death, and he knows that death has a way of catching up on its list. But Ryan is no fool, and he knows that his end is escapable. You seek up an emotion, and your cup is overflowing. You seek up an emotion, sometimes your well is dry. You seek up a big monster for him to fight your wars for you, but Sting, once he finds his way to you, the devil’s not going! Fall back again. . . fall back again. . . Fall Back Again!” Beyer starts to run, sprinting towards the edge of the canyon. A vast emptiness approaches him, and when he reaches it, he dives into it. He seems to be jumping at the moon, in a final attempt to destroy it. He does not reach it, plummeting into the Grand Canyon. The camera cannot follow him, as it is too dark. He heard it. The whistle in the wind. The scream of the tomb. He belongs there, and The Moon will not rest until he is back in that tomb where he once laid. He is surely dead, but not in his proper burial place. The moon wants him trapped in his tomb again. The tomb he escaped from. “Say”The word whispers itself, as no one can speak in a place where they cannot be seen. If no one sees him say the word, then he did not say it.This Role-Play is dedicated to Kurt Vonnegut. The only proof he needed for the existance of God was music.

”If you open your eyes, night opens doors!”Two doors open, leading up a stairway into a large cathedral. Candles dimly light the many rows of pews, moonlight pouring in from the high stained glass windows. A very important man looks down at another man sitting at an organ, staring up at the larger man. He hangs so solemnly, a face full of sorrow. The organ player lets out a haunting melody, full of cacophonic polyphony. He ends his dynamic song with a slow repetition of a common idea, slowly letting the final chord ring out inside the church. The man above him looks down longingly, but grateful for the prayer. Ryan Beyer slowly applies the sign of the Cross upon himself, bowing to the Crucifix above him.Click Here to Listen to the Song He Plays“Night. . .with the eyes of a horse that trembles in the dark. Night, with eyes of water in the field asleep, is in your eyes. Night is in your eyes of secret. Your eyes of shadow. Your eyes of sin. Raven, when I stare into your eyes, the night shines through, devoid of stars. Your eyes hide secrets. Your eyes show your sins. Night. . . is like water. It surrounds you, it engulfs you, and it drowns you.”Ryan slowly turns around to stare at the camera, broadcasting his stern face to the world. It is obvious that he has been without sleep for many hours, he is unshaven and weary. His eyes are still unwavering, commanding attention. He stands from the seat of the organ, walk down a small step towards the altar. He bends over to kiss the beautiful place of Eucharist, falling to one knee to pray, then rising again. The moonlight illuminates one side of his face, showing him as a man with two sides.”Silence and solitude. Those words are the difference between you and I. I spend my time in silence and solitude, reflecting and praying. You spend your hours in deafness and loneliness. You live in evil, you live in perpetual darkness. For you, there is no dawn. There is no moonlight, starlight, or streetlight. For me, light comes when I need it, and escapes when I do not, patient unlike anything in the world. My eyes drink in the light, only quenched in their thirst when the light is weary like me, and we both retire.”Beyer, stepping with light feet, extinguishes the two small flames burning atop the Pascal candles at each side of the altar. He slowly walks from candle to candle, whispering a short prayer, then placing his hand behind the flame and blowing it out. Soon the church is dark except for one flame. Beyer approaches it, repeating his ritual before blowing it out. The cathedral is now pitch black, and Ryan can only be tracked through his footsteps.”Raven, you live surrounded by darkness. But at the same time, you live with closed eyes. Only your goons can lead you. And Raven, they will lead you to me, and that means that they will lead you to defeat. Abyss leads the way blindfolded. He will fail you and lead you into the night, where you will drown.Silence fills the church, darkness engulfing everything it touches. Pure emptiness like this has never been experienced.”If you open your eyes, night opens doors!”As Ryan Beyer screams this phrase, the candles and lights in the church suddenly illuminate the holy place, raining down light in a beautiful fury. Raven, I have found the secret kingdom of the water. It opens, flowing from the center of the night!”A single light falls on Ryan, all others becoming extinguished. ”I have found Eden! And now, if I close my eyes, a river, a silent and beautiful current fills me from within, flowing forward, and now it will clean you. It will wash away the sin surrounding you. If you surrender to it now, it will wash the Flock of its evil. But if you fight it, it will drown all of you, starting with Abyss. As the water nears you, it will crush you, adding your blood its current.”Beyer turns, slowly walking around the altar and to his place at the organ. He stares at the Crucifix above, slowly beginning to speak.”When they stabbed his side, blood and water flowed. Raven, the river began there. It flows on now, will your blood be added to it? For the Flock, this river will be your nightmare. And when your blood is added to it, I don‘t think I will need to remind you. . .”He turns around again, drinking from a chalice on the altar. He turns to face Jesus, and, in a bright flash of light, disappears. A voice is heard, ringing through the empty and again itch black cathedral.”Don’t Drink the Water. . . There’s Blood in the Water!”
