Saturday Night's Main Event: All Stars!
LIVE! From The Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado!
9/17/11!
All Stars opened like normal with Joey Styles and Austin Owens summarizing what went down at Highway 2 Hell, as well as what is going to happen tonight. They announce that there will be a celebration for Shawn Michaels' World Heavyweight Championship win later on tonight.
Trish Stratus vs. Kharma
(Singles Match!)
Kharma defeated Trish Stratus by pinfall using the Implant Buster.
As the camera cuts to the back, we look on at the back of someone walking down the hallway. The man is wearing a hoodie, and his head is covered, hiding his identity. As the camera watches on, he goes into a lockerroom. As he disappears inside, the camera zooms in on the door, revealing it to be Zack Ryder's lockerroom.
John Cena vs.
(Singles Match: Mystery Opponent!)
Samoa Joe defeated John Cena by pinfall using the Muscle Buster.
As All Stars cut backstage, Eric Esfan was seen leaving a lockerroom with a suspicious look. As Esfan made his way out, he made sure no one was able to see him.
Chris Danielson vs. Eric Esfan
(Singles Match!)
Chris Danielson defeated Eric Esfan by pinfall using the Unprettier.
As Chris Danielson celebrated, Zack Ryder came charging down the ramp. Ryder attacked Danielson, but it looked like Danielson wasn't going to be a pushover. He took Ryder down, only to be attacked from behind by R-Truth, who jumped over the barricade, and Eric Esfan. Truth and Esfan pounded Danielson into the ground until Ryder got back to his feet. As all three men laid Danielson out, they stood over his body, taunting in unison.
Dante White vs. Tyler Malcolm
(Hardcore Match!)
Tyler Malcolm defeated Dante White by pinfall after Ghetto Stomping White through a pane of glass.
As All Stars cut to the back, Kevin Nash is seen talking to several members of the ring crew about what he wants set up for the celebration he is planning for Shawn Michaels. Nash's phone suddenly rings, and he steps off to the side. As the camera got close to hear what Nash was saying, he shoved the camera away, demanding that it be shut off. Just before the camera cut off, Nash could be heard saying, "Are you going to be able to make it tonight?"
Seth Akira vs. Bearded Dragon
(Singles Match!)
Bearded Dragon defeated Seth Akira by pinfall using the Springboard Cutter.
As All Stars cut to the back, Roy Rowe was seen making his way to the Gorilla position. As he passed several members of the roster, he received hateful, dirty looks. The last man Roy came across was Seth Akira, who was fresh off a match just moments ago. Seth shot that same hateful, dirty look at Roy, but it suddenly changed to a smile. Seth reached his hand out, welcoming Roy back to SNME.
Roy Rowe vs. KOMODO
(Roy Rowe's Return!)
Roy Rowe defeated KOMODO by submission using the Sharpshooter.
As All Stars cuts to the parking lot, a long black limousine pulls up with a license plate that says, "CHAMP." With the crowd roaring in the arena, the door opens, revealing "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Dressed sharply in black, Shawn shuts the door. The newly won World heavyweight Championship is worn carefully over his shoulder on display for the world to see. With the crowd going wild inside the arena, shawn steps inside the building.
As All Stars cut to the back, the camera looks on at Randy Orton, who stares deeply into a mirror on his lockerroom wall. Orton is still angry from his loss of the World Heavyweight Championship at Highway 2 Hell. As Orton stares on, a mysterious black shadow moves in the background. Orton, caught off guard, suddenly jerks around trying to find what it is that he saw moving. To his avail, nothing is there.
Main Event:
"The Viper" Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio
(Former Champion vs. Former Champion!)
Orton defeated Del Rio with the Punt.
As All Stars returns from commercial, the camera focuses on the ring. The ropes have been removed, and a red carpet covers the ring canvas. Stairs have been placed in front of the ring, also covered by a red carpet that leads all the way up the ramp. In the ring a champagne bar has been set up, as well as pictures of monumental times in Shawn Michaels career, including his victory at Highway 2 Hell to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
As an all too familiar music blares through the arena, the crowd goes insane. Stepping through the curtain, Kevin Nash makes his presence in the arena known to all. With a wide smile across his face, Nash slowly makes his way down the ramp, right down the red carpet. As Nash reaches the steps, he walks up them. As Nash stands in the center of the ring, he asks for a microphone from Justin Roberts. As Roberts tosses Nash, the microphone, he signals for his music to cut. With the crowd waiting in anticipation, Nash speaks.
Kevin Nash: Like the music, huh? Yeah, those were the good 'ol days of wrestling. But let me tell you something. They're about to get a whole lot better. You see, last Sunday something huge happened for this business. Saturday Night's Main Event finally crowned a legit champion. Not some jackass like Chris Jericho. Not some depressed bingo hall champion like Raven. Not some chump like Roy Rowe. And not some undeserving fed with a silver spoon, son of a legend... like Randy Orton. At Highway 2 Hell, a real World Heavyweight Champion was crowned. And that man... is my great friend, Shawn Michaels!
The all new version of "Sexy Boy" blares through the arena, as the crowd goes wild once again. As the curtain tears open, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels comes prancing out, happy as he can be. Shawn is dressed in cowboy boots, black jeans, a black t-shirt, and a black blazer. Over his shoulder is the coveted World Heavyweight Championship. As Shawn prances across the stage, the crowd goes wild for him, cheering and screaming his name. Shawn dances his way down the red carpet, showing his cocky brash attitude he once showed early in his career. As Shawn reaches the middle of the ramp, he stops. Shawn drops to his knees. He looks down, holding the World Heavyweight Championship in his hands. He says something to the belt and gives it a big 'ol kiss right in the middle. Shawn then looks up, raising the title high above his head. As the title is raised in the air, a golden wall of fireworks explodes across the stage behind him. As the smoke lingers through the air, Shawn jumps to his feet and dances down to the steps. He quickly jogs up them and steps up into the ring. Nash claps loudly for Shawn, showing his full support. Shawn gives Nash a big hug before raising the title above his head and showing it off to the crowd. As Shawn calms down just a tiny bit, his music slowly fades out. Shawn and Kevin stand side by side, as they both have microphones now.
Kevin Nash: Shawn, I know you didn't want a big party... but I couldn't help myself. Tonight is a huge night for you, and I wanted to show just how much a true friend cares about you, man. So... let's have a toast!
Nash turns around to the champagne bar, where he hands Shawn a bottle. As Shawn shakes the bottle up, servers begin to make their way through the crowd giving everyone who is of age a glass of champagne. As Nash holds his glass in his hand, he continues to speak.
Kevin Nash: Shawn... here's to you. Here's to one of the greatest wrestlers to EVER step foot in this ring. Here's to the future of Saturday Night's Main Event!
Shawn pops the cork on the bottle, and it shoots off into the crowd. As champagne shoots out all over the place, Shawn pours it in his mouth, drinking as much as he can. As Shawn drinks, Nash raises his glass to Shawn and downs his glass as well.
Shawn Michaels: You know, ever since this place came into being, I never really thought I would be holding this title. There's only been one time before this that I had my shot at this title, and we all know how that one went. I wasn't myself. I wasn't ready to take on the weight of carrying this company on my back. Like I haven't been since it was opened to begin with... Hah. But when this opportunity came about. When the doctors called me and told me Stone couldn't compete in the Elimination Chamber because he was injured... I... I had the idea, but I just wasn't sure. I called around. I called guys like Kurt Angle. Guys like Chris Jericho. Guys like Sting and Batista. You know, real icons in this company. Guys that actually deserve to hold that belt. But then I got to thinking... No one deserves it more... than me! All I heard all week long was, "Who's the sixth man, Shawn? Who did you get to be the sixth man? Angle? Jericho?" That is all I heard, and it took all I had not to shout it out from the rooftops. But I didn't. I kept my decision hidden, and it paid off. The look on all your faces... was priceless. The moment... was classic. I didn't perform to my best, but I wasn't letting any... any of those guys take me out. And when the timing was right... I made my move. And here I stands before you... Your NEW World Heavyweight Champion! The Icon! The Showstopper! Mr. Wrestlefest! The Heartbreak Kid! Shaaaaaaaawn Michaaaaaaels!
As the crowd begins to roar, Shawn raises the title high above his head, showing it off once more.
Shawn Michaels: That's right! Yours truly has finally... captured the World Heavyweight Championship... again. But there are more serious matters at hand. While I want to be out here celebrating, something... just makes me want to puke. I won this title, but I don't like the way I won it. I had to pin a man that...
A steel guitar whine fills the air, as the crowd erupts, as Nash and Shawn look towards the stage, almost in disbelief that the song is playing. As it hits tempo, the former two time SNME World Heavyweight Champion, “Soulfire” Justin Tyger walks out from behind the curtain. He stops on top of the ramp, soaking in the cheering from the crowd. He walks down the ramp, cowboy boots guiding his way. He stops at the edge of the ring, looking up and Shawn and Kevin, though his hat blocks their view of his eyes. He climbs up to the apron, sliding into the ring. He walks to the middle, stopping before Shawn, staring at him for a moment, before getting a microphone from a stage hand.
Justin Tyger: Shawn, Shawn, Shawn. World Champion, eh? One of the best in the world, eh? Ha-ha. You know, I truly didn’t want to get involved tonight, I just wanted to hang out, talk to some fellas, but I couldn’t sit back there… and listen to the crap that is being said right now. Now, Shawn, I like you, and Nash, after the time we spent in Southland together, I like you too, so don’t get me wrong, I love both of you guys, but come on, really?
Nash: Really what Tyger? Huh? Speak up!
Tyger:…. REALLY? Best In The World, you say, eh? I don’t see how you can consider yourself that when… you won your first and only World Championship in worst way possible, taking advantage of me, your “friend”, and not hesitating to do it. Now, I don’t blame you. Taking advantage of the situation like that, because I know, that you know, you can never beat me otherwise, Shawn.
Shawn: Hah! Never beat you? With all due respect, Tyger... Are you sure the doctors cleared you to be released? I mean... you're talking to Shawn Michaels. And might I add, this here title... it sure isn't the first. You see, the lineage of this title goes faaaar back, Tyger. While you were off jobbing every chance you got, I was off winning World Heavyweight Championships. This ain't my first walk in the park, kid. You and I both know that if the situation were reversed... you wouldn't have hesitated pinning me either.
Tyger: But if I did, I wouldn’t go runnin’ to you, tellin’ you about how bad of a friend and person that Randy Orton is, about how I was a much better person then he is, like you were preaching the other night. Because in the end, you’re worse than he is, Shawn. Sure, he messes up when it relates to our friendship, but he can’t control himself, Shawn. Shawn, you had every control over yourself, when you sold me out for that World Title. So, in the end, who is the bad person here, eh? The one that does stupid things he cannot control… or the one that took advantage of his hurt friend just so he could be World Champion?
Shawn: Worse than Randy Orton? I pinned you, yeah. It was wrong. I can admit that. I damn well know it was wrong to pin you... but someone had to. And I was the only man left. What am I supposed to do? Let this company go without a World Heavyweight Champion? No, Tyger. Something had to be done, and it had to be done then and there. And you call me worse than Randy... You know what? Go on! Get out of here! Go be with your precious Randy Orton. And the next time he punts you... Don't come calling me. Don't come begging me to come see you in the hospital. I'm better than you, Tyger. I don't need you. I've got guys like Kevin. Guys that can actually see what is going on here. Orton doesn't give a damn about you. His "excuse"... is nothing but that. Go on... you heard me. Get out... of my ring!
Tyger: You see what I’m saying here? Randy is a better MAN than you’ll ever be! He screws up, yeah, you got him there, but at least he’s regretful, at he can MAN UP to me, and look me in the eye, and not avoid me, like YOU have been avoid me for YEARS, Shawn! I used to be like those guys in the back, like Merc, who just want that ONE chance to prove himself. I wanted to have a match with you FOR YEARS, just to prove if I was really as good as people said I was, against who I thought WAS the best, but Shawn, you ducked and dodged me for so long, you gave me the “eehh maybe”, you canceled shows and matches, time and time again between us, Shawn, and you know what I realized? You avoided me so long, not because of “Business” and “Timing”, but because you were scared of me. Orton has never been scared of me, he proved that when he agreed to wrestle me for his title. You Shawn are scared of me, because YOU KNOW that I, not you, I am the BEST that has ever been in SNME! I’ve won that title twice, by busting my ass, not by taking the cheap way out, like you! You make it out like SNME would be nothing right now without you. Fact is, I am a better WRESTLER than you, and a better damned owner than you. I still remember when you gave up on SNME time after time, leaving it in the hands of guys like me, and Daryl and Roy, then you have the balls to fire Roy, just like that, after all he and I did for this company to keep it standing when YOU were not man enough to stick with SNME when times got bad. You know all of this Shawn, you know it, and that’s why you’ve avoid me for so long, because you don’t want these people, and the guys in the back, and you bitch right there Nash to know it! You’re just too scared to admit it!
Shawn: Wow... did they finally give you a sack in the hospital while you were in there? You know it all, don't you, Tyger? Don't you?!? The times I gave up on this company... it deserved it. While I was busting my tail, no one else was giving a damn. So you know what? I did what Vince McMahon would do. I said screw it. I'm going to leave these fools in the dark and see what happens. I'm going to push them from the nest and just see... see if they can survive. And you know what? Barely... barely, Tyger. Sure, you helped put on a few shows. Sure, you kept this place hanging on by a string, but without me... this place is nothing. It has been proven every single time, Tyger. Whether it was you or Roy running the show while I was gone... the two of you just couldn't get things done like me. Attendance was nothing. Pay-per-view buys... hah! They were in the dirt. But me... when I was at the helm, this place was booming. Don't deny it. Don't you dare! You want this title so damn bad? Huh? Here! Take it! Take the title, Tyger. Here! you want this company so bad? Huh? Take it! I have nothing to prove to you. I have nothing to prove to these people. I have accomplished everything and more. You know, Tyger... I thought we were buds. I thought we were close. Screw you, Tyger. Screw Randy Orton.
Tyger: Shawn, th-….
Tyger keeps talking, but we hear nothing, as his microphone has been cut off. He laughs, dropping the mic on the ground. He charges Shawn, but Nash cuts in between, keeping them separated. Tyger yells in Shawn face, as Shawn yells back, telling him to get out of the ring. Tyger continues yelling at Shawn, trying to shove Nash away. Finally, Nash breaks, grabbing Tyger by the shirt, shoving him into the corner, yelling at him.
Nash: Get out of here, Tyger! Are you deaf?! Get the hell out!
Tyger doesn’t flinch, as he laughs in Nash’s face, looking at Shawn and yelling.
Tyger: You gonna hide behind Kevin now?! Huh?! You ain’t nothin’ but a puss!
Nash rears back, smacking Tyger across the face. Tyger shakes it off, laughing again. From out of nowhere, Randy Orton slide into the ring, as Nash backs off of Tyger, keeping hold, but focusing his attention on Orton. Orton creeps closer to Shawn, staring him down, Nash goes to make a move towards Orton, just as Tyger shoves him away, jumping up, hitting a Body Solebutt from nowhere! Nash stumbles towards Orton, who leaps in the air, bringing him down with an RKO! As Nash bounces off the canvas, Orton and Tyger slide out of the ring, backing up the ramp, as Shawn runs to Nash, checking on him, as Orton and Tyger make it to the stage, taking one last look down at Nash and Michaels, before going back through the curtain. We zoom in close to Shawn’s face, red with anger, as we fade to the SNME logo.
